I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowSticking to the actual work completed, after 1/days, there was only partial cutting in of trim in the foyer and painting of the living room, and primer on a kitchen island The second painter had to complete the hall cut in, paint the foyer and hall, paint the walls and ceiling in an x 20' family room, paint the kitchen including the island, laundry room and interior doors He also had to repair the ceiling patch work by Mike All the other commentary in the response is just distraction from the actual basis of the complaint This is a complaint on the quality of the service provided by a business Regards, [redacted]
In response to the complaint regarding *** *** I honestly do not know what happenedI received a phone call from a friend while I was visiting Florida that referred me to one of his company's clients*** *** called me for an estimate for painting and many other repairs and
installations to her homeAfter going over the scope of work I emailed her a proposal for the painting informing her that I would be able to do the prepand painting portion of the jobShe responded and accepted the bidI was excited to have the opportunity to become established in a beautiful community in Florida to possibly relocate my very reputable business during the winter monthsWe agreed to meet at her office to finalize the contractThe door was locked, I knocked and no answerThere were no cars in the parking lot so I figured she may be running late and I waitedAbout minutes later she opened the door and came over to me to say " are you just going to stand there all day." I knew right then I should have wished her luck and walked away foreverBut thinking that I have always made even the most difficult customer happy with my highest quality work at a fair price, I chalked her insulting behavior as maybe she was having a bad dayThis was the beginning of a nightmareInitially, the contractor that referred me mentioned that she was very particular and may be difficult to work forTo me that was a challenge as I have been able to please EVERY one of my customersNow I understand why he didn't take on the job himselfShe spoke ill of previous contractors and was not happy with the progress I made every day for the five days I worked thereShe continued to question if I would finish in the days that I quoted the job for and I assured her that I was right on scheduleI caulk, spackle and sand all trim and walls before any paintingShe stated that she was uncomfortable with me in her home, accused me of going through her things ( her son allowed me to the cupboard for a glass for water), and then locked me out on the sixth day of workThe day where I was to start finish work for the most visible progress to be madeShe terminated me from the job before halfway for her own issues, not mine or progressI sent her an invoice for work I completed and she already had a check made out for less when I arrived to retrieve my toolsI was insulted, discouraged about not being able to finish a job and shorted on pay for my workI have a customer list of loyal, satisfied and appreciated customers and never had anything remotely close to this happenI handled myself professionally and treated *** with dignity and respect although I was not treated the same*** not only lied about some of the things I read in her complaint but refused to honor the contractPlease do not let this terrible experience effect my A+ rating with the Revdex.com as I have worked extremely hard to establish myself as a professional, reliable and quality oriented painting company
