Review: I went in for an eye exam for contacts and I used a [redacted] and ended up paying 105! I never asked for the health exam they had given it to me. The optician that they have on staff has very poor customer service skills. He does not know how to talk or treat people he talked to me as if her were trying to belittle me about how long I had worn my contacts. I came for a service for my eyes. I expected to get good service and all I was an optician with his nose in the air that proceeded to argue with me. He shouldn't be in this type of business of he's going to treat people that way.Desired Settlement: Refund- I want an apology on how I was treated and spoke to. You don't talk to people you just met that's paying for your service like they are beneath you.

Response:

You saw the Optometrist who went above and beyond for your vision and health needs, whether it was a [redacted] or not the Optometrist is responsible for the health of your eyes. You had been wearing the same contact lenses for OVER A YEAR which is a health risk. The lenses had several protein deposits on them which is a health risk that may cause further damage to the cornea. Through out the exam the doctor took his time to educate you on proper lens care which is his duty as a licensed healthcare provider. After the exam you were given trials for a week and told to come back for follow up because at that point a Licensed health care professional was not able to release a prescription that would cause more damage to your eyes, which is a standard in the industry, before the prescription is finalized. You wanted your Contact lens prescription on the same day which was not advised by the doctor. Your anger began with you finding out that you w ere not getting your prescription on the same day so you can order lenses online even though you had been given trials to cover the trial period. You proceeded to call the doctor an [redacted] and a [redacted] and other profanity with other people around. which is highly disrespectful and unprofessional, but yet we were all mannered and showed nothing but loyalty and professionalism along with respect since all staff are well mannered. The Doctor diagnosed an eye health issue that he recommended for further care . you were so concerned about ordering contact lenses online and cursing that you were not concerned about any eye health issues that was being discussed ,but wanted your prescription. We care about our patients and want to do the best for them, We respect people and hope that we would be respected back. If giving you excellent health care is a problem for you then we cannot apologize for that. You have returned for your follow up appointment and you were still treated with re spect although you were cursing with children around and other people. As far as your [redacted] goes, all the fine prints and what was and was not included in the voucher was clearly stated when you were purchasing the voucher. We at Milan Optique, strive for excellence and are well known for our great service and excellent health care to all of our patients. if there is anything we can do , please don't hesitate and contact us at anytime.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becausethere re were no children there when I had came. The optometrist talked down to me as if I were nothing he did not educate me he made it seem as if he was better than me. That optician does not know how to talk to or treat customers. In the [redacted] I paid for an I exam that's what I came for it turned into a health exam. I felt like they just wanted to get extra money out of me. The guy told me that I had to come back I. Order to get my prescription. There was a female optometrist there when I came the second time who treated me with respect and like a valued customer when I returned. The men were very unprofessional, I'm a paying customer and they proceeded to argue with me. When I came out to make a verbal complaint instead of him helping a customer he took it upon himself to not help the person in his office but to argue with me. He told me I don't know if I should even give you a prescription or these contacts. Someone that's proffessional should have kept the negative comments to them self instead of trying to imply that I'm illiterate when it comes to eye care. He simply needs to learn how to talk to people and be more proffessional. I figured because I'm an [redacted] and not in the same class as him he may have thought he could get away with tearing me like that
