Mile High Outdoor takes a lot of pride in its relationships with customers and the community. Our company is founded on four core values, one of which is integrity. We take this extremely seriously and want to address the complaint brought to the Revdex.com by *** *** / *** ***
*** *** *** was contacted by *** because of her interest in advertising *** *** *** on billboards along the SColorado Blvd corridor. We had one board still available in June and *** signed a contract to secure it for a rate of $6,800. In early April, this same billboard became available on a last minute basis. All of our sales people reached out to multiple customers to see if anyone wanted to take advantage of a “last minute deal” with extremely reduced pricing from the norm. *** *** *** was one of these businesses and *** seemed excited to add April coverage to the program Please note that this was never proposed or represented as a replacement for the June campaign. It was strictly a last minute opportunity for clients to take advantage of savings and post their message on the billboard in April. *** *** also included the initial production of the billboard in this “last minute deal” to increase the overall value of the program, as well as the one taking place in June. The vinyl is reusable and it would allow *** *** *** to post it again for their next campaign. The additional value of the vinyl is $1,At this point a second contract was signed in the amount of $5,500, and we began working diligently side by side with *** on the design and layout for the billboardMile High Outdoor provided multiple options, design recommendations, provided critical and honest feedback based on our professional opinion to ensure the design and layout matched her marketing intentions and that the campaigns contracted were a success. We then delivered the space for both the April and the June agreements as written*** made mention that she immediately called in to let us know she didn’t want the June space once it posted and *** sent her pictures. Unfortunately in our industry, this is much too late for us to correct the situation and resell the location. The revenue is not recoverable at this point and the unit would go unused in a sold out situation. Not only is the revenue not recoverable, but we turned down multiple advertisers leading up to June for this board because it was sold to ***. These advertisers are then forced to look for and purchase inventory from our competitors. Our industry is very similar to airlines or hotelsIf someone books a plane ticket on a sold out flight, doesn’t show up and wants a refund because they didn’t want to go to the destination anymore or bought the ticket by mistake, the airline would never refund that customer. Another example is booking a hotel room but not sleeping in it and asking for a refund In both of these examples a certain responsibility lies with the customer that they are reading and understanding what they are purchasing and agreeing to pay forWith all of this being said, Mile High Outdoor has offered multiple solutions to *** *** ***, which were turned down Here is what we presented..... 1.) Mile High Outdoor offered to run their billboard on other locations throughout the year where we had space at no charge. This would help offset the cost of their June program with more coverage and bring them a ton more value for the money spent with us2.) Mile High Outdoor also offered to put them on a payment plan while taking advantage of the extra space mentioned in offer #After multiple follow up calls to *** with no response we finally were able to speak with her husband who let us know they will not be paying their debt and to go ahead and send them to collections. Given the events that occurred, the responsibility a customer needs to take for themselves and their actions of signing contracts, and the attempts by Mile High Outdoor to remedy the situation in a very fair manner, it is baffling that they would have the nerve to lodge a complaint against us with the Revdex.com. This is an attempt to get out of a debt that they clearly owe and use the Revdex.com as shield. This is despicable behavior and a complete misuse of the Revdex.com resourcesTo save us all greater headache, time, and effort, Mile High Outdoor would like to offer one more solution. If there truly was a misunderstanding between both parties, then we should split the cost 50/for the June campaign. We would be willing to reduce their debt to $3,from $6,800. We believe this is extremely fair given the fact that the culpability of a misunderstanding falls on both parties in this instance
