My mums key got stuff in her door so she called me to find her a locksmithWhen I called miles locksmith he said he'd be to her in about minWell min passed and my mum call miles locksmith and said never mind he's taken so long she's decided to go through the Honda dealership to get a new key Well the guy was very rude yelled at my mum and said he was around the corner and that he's not turning aroundHe showed up at the lowes in citrus heights and gy the key out of the door, then called my mum and said if you want your key you have to pay meWe called the police and the police office I spoke with said that if it was him he'd say screw the key and just get a new one cause that guy is very unprofessional and has no respect even for himI took my mum to the Honda deal ship on auburn and greenback and got her a key made but we'd like the business to replace the key or refund the money

to her on the phone she had immediately told me that she was inside the hardware store making a copy of the key and would not need my help and hung up on meI was insulted that I came out their to help and was hung up onI tried to call her back but she did not pick upI eventually left and texted her that she can retrieve her key from me but would have to pay a fee for the inconvenience she causedLater I receive a phone call from the police department because she reported me for taking her keyThis all could have been avoided if we had discussed this on the phoneI am still happy to give her the key back but she has to understand that I felt it was wrong that she would hang up on me and then call the cops on me when all I wanted to do was help her

Review: My mum had an issue with her car key getting stuck in the door so I called around to a few places to find her a locksmith. Well he said he would be there in 25-30 min, about 45 min later my mum called and text him and said nevermind I'll just have my daughter take me to get a new key thanks anyways, well the guy called my mum serveral times and was yelling at her. She hung up on him and came and removed the key anyways, then sent her a text and said if you want your key you have too pay me. Need less too say he is very unprofessional. I called the local police and the guy was so disrespectful too the cop the cop said "don't pay the guy [redacted]" I was a little set back by what he said but even the cop said that the guy has very poor customer service and too file a complaint. So tread carefully when using this company they will hold your property as collateral of you piss them off.Desired Settlement: My mum would like her key back and cut your losses. Don't be mad cause she said Nevermind you shouldn't be taking advantage of a 60 year old lady.

Review: I called [redacted], Miles Locksmith (916) 716-1572, who quoted me a price of $105 to fix one door ($45 for labor, $60 for the lock) and made an appointment for him to come out on Thursday, but he ended up coming out on Friday 1/15/16. About 3 hours into working on the door, he became combative and hostile (when I asked him to focus on repairing the lock, instead of making disparaging comments about my car,). At this point he demanded to be paid, and we discussed pricing a 3rd time .The first time over the phone, the 2nd time at the beginning of my appointment when I decided to have him make an additional key which increased the fee by $10 making the total $115, and the 3rd time right before I paid him. [redacted] never made an invoice for the charges, and I paid him cash. My neighbor [redacted], was outside with me and was a witness to me paying him as well as us discussing the pricing.

Later that morning at 1:34 am he started sending me harassing text messages, that I wish I could include in this report. He said that I owe him an additional $50 service fee, that he never mentioned until this point, and said that my locks won't have a warranty unless I paid that amount. He threatened that if something happens to my lock, not to contact him if the warranty wasn't paid at least 2-3 times. He harassed me via text message from 1:30 am until about 3 am. That evening I had a very uneasy feeling that he would come back and damage my locks based on his text messages. The next morning at 9:20 I went to move my car and sure enough, the lock that he just replaced the night before was damaged to the point were its no longer working and he even added more damage the other lock he didn't repair. One one my neighbors did tell me that they say his repair van back in our apartments around 3am so thats when I beleive he came back and damaged my property. Thank you in advance for checking into this, I really appreciate it!Desired Settlement: I paid [redacted] $110 for a service that didn't work at the very least or was damaged again by him at the very worst and would like my money back, thank you!
