Review: On Wednesday May 28, Milestone picked up furniture at a location in Pennsylvania and a second one in Jersey City, NJ and brought them to my apartment in New York city. In spite of me providing a very detailed list of what was being transported, the truck they used was too small to pick up all the furniture from New Jersey, so Milestone told me they would return to complete the job on May 30. There was 3 pieces of furniture - a sofa, and butcher block, and an antique table - that did not fit up the stairway. I asked the crew to put them back on the truck and that I would try to access the building freight elevator when they returned in 2 days. They put me in touch by phone with their supervisor who told me it was company policy NOT to return with any furniture from a move. I told the supervisor the situation, that I had no hallway or entranceway to place the furniture, and that I would speak to the owner the following morning (this was occurring at 1030pm) to explain. He asked to speak to the crew, and when the call ended, I re-affirmed with the crew they would place these items back on the truck. I then went to bed, turned my phone off. And the following morning I found voicemails at 1130pm from the supervisor at Milestone who told me they were not taking the 3 pieces of furniture back. THEY LEFT THE FURNITURE ON THE SIDEWALK AND IT WAS STOLEN. I of course could not believe they did this - and when I called the office, they insisted that they tried to reach me to tell me they were leaving the furniture. Even if they had reached me, there was nothing I could do myself, no place to put the furniture. But they just left a voicemail - your furniture is on the sidewalk, it's our policy not to return with furniture. Since the move, I've returned to where they picked up the original furniture. They moved an armoir along 200 year old pine floors and created deep scratch marks that require the floors to be refinished. And they picked up a large console table, but never even delivered it.Desired Settlement: I have contacted the company twice with details of the claims, and it has been more than 6 weeks since the first claim and I have not heard from the company other than a form email "we've received your claim". I want replacement cost for the items they left on the street; to pay for refinishing of the floors they ruined; and additional items that they damaged during the move (they rolled a marble table top on the ground and it chipped the top so badly it looks like a serrated edge".
