Military Housing Department Reviews (%countItem)

After weeks of trying to contact several different personnel within the company and getting no response, we made the decision to cancel our agreement and request a refund. We'd signed up June 24 and were told that our company would be ready for onboarding within 5-7 days. When that time passed and we attempted to follow up with them, our inquiries were met with silence. Each time we tried to communicate with them, it is the same lack of response, no matter who it is we are reaching out to. However, in one earlier response when we threatened to cancel, we received a disrespectful and rude reply quite immediately by the owner, Thomas B. It was very unprofessional, to say the least.

We understand the delays due to COVID 19, but the lack of follow-through (our onboarding conference call was canceled twice and never rescheduled despite our requests), lack of transparency, and utter lack of communication are unacceptable. Even now that our "landing page" is finally somewhat completed, our company does not appear to turn up in any searches and we have yet to receive a single lead. After reaching out for help and guidance to resolve some issues, understand the process, and get going on this, we still received no answer.
Today, we asked to terminate the agreement and refund the fee, which is substantially larger than the other complainants against Military Housing Department on Revdex.com. Military Housing Department has completely failed to fulfill their side of the agreement. Strangely, when we notified them of the cancellation and request for a refund today, we received a response back from Mr. B within 2 minutes. His response:

"Hi there, we cannot do this. Please feel free to contact support if you have any issues with your lead portal. If you decide to pursue legal litigation you can get our councils information from support as well.
Thank you."
Sent from my iPhone

After two phone calls and an email reply from us, we are still waiting to find out what the contact information is for the "support department" and their attorney's name and contact information.

Hi Susan, You are live on our site and show up on searches. You are receiving inbound leads and you are setup. We have already attempted to work with you the best we can, we pride ourselves on transparency and communication. As you know, our support email is [email protected]

Customer Response • Aug 22, 2020

8/22/20 Thomas, as you would see in the emails we have sent to you and Christina on 8/14/20, 8/17/20, and 8/18/20, we reached out to you for help and all of these emails went unanswered. These were sent after you and Christina had cancelled two onboarding conference calls and never rescheduled them, despite follow-up attempts by us on 8/11/20, 8/12/20, and 8/14/20 asking to reschedule. Again, none of our emails was answered. On 8/21/20, we attempted to send an email to [email protected] and received a robo-reply that we have been blocked from that email address. You and your staff have consistently refused to communicate with us at every turn. We are not receiving leads and if we are searchable on the site, then it's a mystery to us how we are searchable. Perhaps we would know if someone had bothered to answer our requests for help or had rescheduled our onboarding call which never happened. We upheld our side of the agreement but Military Housing Department has consistently and miserably failed to uphold theirs. We have since emailed and left voice mail messages for you, Andrea, and Christina requesting your attorney's name, phone number, and other contact information. We are still waiting for someone to call or email us back To say that you pride yourselfves on transparency and communication is ludicrous. As one can tell by the other complaints listed on this page, we are not the only ones being treated this way.

Thomas and the folks at Military Housing Department are either scammers or very inept. They never provided the services that they promised and despite saying they would, they have yet to refund me for 4 months of service. After months of emails and text messages to them, many of which went unanswered, I've decided to leave a review here in order to warn others to stay as far away as possible. I received a call from someone they are soliciting in California today and I told her not to touch them with a ten foot pole. They set a new standard for overpromising and under-delivering. If you're thinking about using them and have any doubt, look me up. My name is Paul C and my last name is the same last name from Richie on Happy Days. I'm a real estate agent in Yuma, AZ and I'd be happy to provide screen shots of my texts and emails to them as proof. I'm a real person that they've treated very poorly and I don't want it to happen to someone else.

We are extremely pleased with Military Housing Department. They sincerely want to help their clients reach their goals and they have very creative ideas and the expertise to implement them. They are the real deal. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend them to my connections, and have done so.

I signed up in early May and so far, I have received zero referrals. I have emailed Christina L for referral requests to no avail. Though there is still some time left, the $600.00 investment has turned out to be for naught at this point. I am not sure where the money goes, but it certainly has not manifested itself into a single referral. I am still holding out hope for the remaining couple months left and I hope I will be able to eat these words, because if I do, I will delete this review. It is a big relief that I have been very active in listing and selling homes so far this year.

Thank you,
Bob H

THIS IS A SCAM... On or about May 2020, I received a call from Christina L (Sale Manager), with the option to further assist relocation military personnel during their transition to San Diego, California - as the conversation continued, it sound as if this would be a great fit and prior to the completion of the conversation, I paid $1,500 for the annual service of receiving leads. After several attempts (via emails, phone calls, text messages, etc) two months and counting NOTHING. Finally, on June 11, 2020, I was able to speak with Thomas B (Owner), stating "Yeah, I can imagine it's unsettling. Andrea is no longer with us and Christina is actually on vacation with her family. I own the company so I'm typically never available. Weird timing I suppose, I'll get with our new client success team and have them reach out. PCS ordershave been held due to COVID, They are being released this week so that's a plus, so you haven't missed anything. Just slow rolling and waiting on transfers to resure. I'll have our team get with you ASAP." As of today, July 29, 2020 - NOTHING. In an email dated 7/24/2020 & 7/28/2020, I respectfully requested a reimbursement / refund of my $1,500 paid for services not rendered. Still NO RESPONSE!!! This is so frustrating.

This is a scam! I was told to expect 4-5 leads a month from this program. I was to be one of two agents at Ft. Carson. I was patient for the first 6 weeks due to COVID but we are now up and running and I have received ZERO leads or communication from Military Housing Department. I was shuffled from one person to the next and when I finally got a reply from Thomas stating that he would offer me a full refund and cancellation, I never heard from him again. I've been waiting 12 days for the refund and can't get him to respond to me.

Thank you so much for all the help. I am looking forward to seeing all the results in the future.

Results, Results, Results! I love Military Housing Department and the leads my company gets from them

Where to start: Christina L seemed helpful enough when first getting signed up with MHD. We initially agreed to a 3 month contract to which I would be the Camp Pendleton Realtor representative. She went further to say, verbally, that I could easily expect anywhere from 4-5 referrals each month to assist with military members needing to move due to PCS...this was the last week of April. It wasn't until after MHD took my first month's invoice did I find out PCS' were deferred until at least the end of June. That was my 2/3 of my entire contracted time!! I reached out to her and Thomas B (we'll get to him in a moment) and they reluctantly confirmed what I had to find out on my own. At this point I had to reach out to personal friends in the military for new PCS updates instead of MHD as they consistently responded to my multiple inquiries on status updates with crumb trail emails that provided little to no significant information or disclaimers. When I learned PCS' were deferred again (on my own, not through MHD), I'd already been charged the 2nd month's invoice. Finally, after writing a slew of emails to Thomas B (the account manager or CEO of the company; no one ever provided a real email signature with title and contact information) he cancelled my 3rd month's invoice and said he would refund all money collected. It's because of this action alone I don't attempt giving my experience zero stars. That said, it's been nearly three weeks since he stated he would refund my collected funds but I still have yet to see any of that money returned.

Long story short: if you're a realtor and you get an email from MHD asking to be their preferred realtor in the area, be warned. They are unable to communicate in a professional manner and keep their realtor "partners" in the dark. Even more, after I'd already signed up with them, I received a generic email from another associate (Keanu) to be the preferred realtor at the base I'd already signed up for. Seriously!?! If you're going to phish and scam realtors into paying you monthly fees for referrals they'll never get, at least be smarter about it.

Actions MHD could take to remedy this case: REFUND ME TODAY! Instead of a wasted scam of an investment with no possibility for a return on investment, I could have avoided all of this aggravation and gone to the grocery store for food during this pandemic.

Military Housing Department Response • Jul 14, 2020

Referrals have been delayed due to going through a national pandemic which we didn't expect.

You agreement was voided.

Your payments were cancelled.

You were issued a refund, our team is beyond confused on how exactly we are a scam.

You enrolled to receive referrals, pandemic hit, you were cancelled and refund initiated.

Please feel free to call Andrea if you have any further issues.

My experience with the program has been very positive. I have used this program to sell homes to military members and it has worked great for our team

Absolutely horrific customer service. Signed up with their referral program for 3 months. Tried, multiple times, to get them to update my area as they were sending me leads from several hours away, and they never fixed it. Instead, the leads just stopped. We told them, multiple times, we wanted to discontinue after the 3 months. They didn't cancel it. Instead, the very rude CEO took to threatening me and my assistant, accusing us of awful things, and insinuating that I'm just too broke to afford the measly $100 a month. After proving him wrong, he finally admitted he "got me confused with someone else," and said he'd take care of it. You'd think he would rather try and fix my issues and retain me as a customer than be an arrogant*** to me. Horrible business model. Stay far away from this place.

Hi there, you were declined from working as our partner because you had awful reviews and after doing research and speaking with military personnel, it was clear that we couldn't promote, you. Your review is also an exaggeration. Below I've pasted the exact email that was sent to you. Nobody said you were "too broke" to afford $100, you're making most of your review up out of thin air.

Email in reference:

Hi there, you signed a one year contract. This is the first time I'm hearing about you wishing to cancel.

With that being said, disputing may be the best route for you to go, we have never lost a dispute as you did sign a contract. Personally, if you are in a pinch for money you can submit a change of billing information with our accounting department, your balance would go to collections but it would give you some time to get everything squared away.

Customer Response • Jul 01, 2020

He claims I was denied from working with them, but yet they are charging me? I've never received a negative review, once, so he's lying. His business is a fraud. He continues to harass me on my email. And now is threatening to leave false, negative reviews about me on all of my sites.

Military Housing Department Response • Jul 01, 2020

Again, not true.

We vet partners every quarter, we can't work with realtors who actively prey on the military community.

Customer Response • Jul 02, 2020

Prey on the military community??? Wow. You are clearly grasping at straws here. I am a top agent, in my area, with stellar reviews and happy clients. I don't prey on anyone. The only prey here, is you sir. Stop harassing me. Stop with your insanity. You CLEARLY need some sort of mental help.

Military Housing Department Response • Jul 02, 2020

Okay, thanks for your response Tina.

On May 28, 2020 I was contacted by a phone call from Thomas B of Military Housing Department.com with an opportunity to be listed as a real estate professional for members of the military / veterans that may need help with their real estate services. This is suppose to be a directory on their website available to members of the military. I provided payment of $1,500.00 for annual "membership" and to have my information listed on their website directory. I have yet to receive any confirmation of the on-boarding being completed. On 6/4/2020 I received an email:

"Hoping this finds you and your loved ones well and healthy.
My most sincere apologies in advance for such late reply, due to personal matters I had to request a few days off work and just now, I am starting to catch up with all the emails.
Moving forward, I no longer will be working with the MHD. Nonetheless, I will be doing my due diligence responding and forwarding the same to Mr. T *** in order to inform him of any pending actions on behalf of the MHD and also, enclose to him the receipt of any and/or all information you have duly submitted in the present and/or prior emails."

I emailed T *** twice inquiring on the status of on-boarding being completed and also called leaving a voicemail message. No response.

I believe this to be a scam playing on one's commitment to serve our Country's Veterans and Active Military. Further research showed the location of their charge to my credit card was coming from ***
*** The company name shown on the charge is ***.
I had to choose a star rating as it won't allow you to choose none, so it has one star. Beware of this company.

Military Housing Department Response • Jun 25, 2020

Hi there, As our customer service rep responded to you via email, she was out of the office due to a family emergency due to COVID19, unfortunately this pandemic and the effects were something we didn't plan for. She suffered a tragic loss and was not able to respond to your email for an entire week, I understand.

We refunded you without you even asking, I'm a veteran and our entire team is comprised of veterans, the idea that we are playing on ones commitment to serve military members is false and a disgusting remark to be transparent.

We are rapidly growing and with that comes holes, unfortunately one of those was customer service. We work with hundreds of partners all across the country with nothing but stellar feedback, situations like these occur in business unfortunately. I wish you would have attempted to communicate with us to resolve matters rather than leaving a semi-truthful review.

Nonetheless, you have been refunded and we wish you all the success in your future endeavors.

Customer Response • Jun 25, 2020

The review I left was 100% truthful based on my experience. I tried to reach other representatives after receiving the email stating the employee left the company. I tried more than once (several times). I did not receive a reply email or phone call until after I left a review. You stated to me that the relocation had been on hold or temporarily closed and that was the reason for not receiving any referrals. I wasn't so concerned about receiving referrals immediately as you implied. I was concerned that I had spent $1,500.00 and when I tried to reach someone to find out about the on-boarding process there was no response, crickets as they say. I'm not used to spending money and not receiving response even with companies that are growing or small businesses with limited staffing resources. Thank you for the refund. I wish there had been an opportunity to change the experience. I find it interesting that there was no offer to make it "right" and get me set up on their platform, but to only refund the money I spent. Most companies would try to keep the business and ask how they can make it "right" for their customer. As a side note it is interesting that the email now being received is coming from

I was surprised on how quick and easy it was to get our home. My wife and I are both grateful for our home.

I want to thank Thomas and Christina for going above and beyond to make this happen :) I am sure they spend many hours late to get us in our new home. We are forever truly grateful.

Military Housing Department Response • May 10, 2020

Here to serve! Thanks for the positive review.

The experience was easier than I was expecting. The support and communication is top notch and I always had a sense of being care for throughout the process.

Christina is a wonderful person. She is excellent and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know. I wish her the best. I know the company appreciates her.

Thank you! Very excited to work with you Victoria.

Thomas was absolutely amazing through this whole journey. His patience, knowledge and guidance led me into the home of my dreams. He has excellent customer service skills! I recommended him to a friend and they were extremely happy as well.

Military Housing Department Response • Apr 06, 2020

Hey there, Very exciting!!!!

That's what we are here for!

Let me start by saying our experience with Military Housing Department was great. Christina guided us through the process to make everything go smoothly. She is courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with. We felt we were a member of the family. She kept us informed during the whole transaction which minimized our stress level. Thank you Military Housing Department and thank you Christina.

As a grunt soldier, I was not looking forward to this process. I was under the impression this would be tons of paperwork and I probably would close anyway. I was wrong. Military Housing Department made the process SO MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT. Thomas, thank you, with your understanding and patience you made a dream come through.
