Review: I bought a year long set of laser hair removal sessions from this company through a living social deal. Before I purchased, I called the salon to ask about the type of laser machine and and asked about long term hair reduction. I talked to [redacted] (the laser technician) and was told that this machine was the best on the market and that it provided permanent hair REMOVAL. I have been to other laser companies with great results, but this was a really good deal, so I decided to buy the deal. During my first session, I was told that I would start seeing results after 2-3 visits and would only need to come 6 times. After 3 visits, I had absolutely no results at all! I called living social for a refund, they said they could not do a refund because the coupon had already been redeemed at the merchant. They called the salon on my behalf and talked to the owner. The salon called me and told me to come back, that I would definitely see results after the next session. During that seasion(number 4) the technician said to not worry about being reimbursed, that they would not let me be dissatisfied. To come for the 6 sessions and then we would figure it out. I ended up going for the 6 sessions, I didn't have 1 hair fall out! I asked again for a refund. I was told they could not give it to me, that I had to go through living social and she swore to me that living social NEVER called them to try to resolve the matter. The technician stated that she could not authorize a refund, but she would have Melissa the owner call me to discuss the issue. She said until then to just keep coming back to do more sessions. The salon is about 45 min away and I decided against that since I had absolutely no results. It was like a flashlight going over my skin. The technician has before pictures of my laser area and I have pictures from today to show no results. I waited for over a month for Melissa the owner to call, then I called the salon and left my name and number. No call back. Called again a week later, same result. I have left 4 messages for her as to who I am and why I am calling- I have had no response. All I want is to be reimbursed for the initial amount of the certificate I bought so that I can go to a salon that I have been to before and that works! There is no FDA approved technique for permanent hair removal. Just for permanent hair reduction. If I had researched their promise of permanent removal, I would not have bought it because I would have seen that they were making false claims. When I asked them about that claim, they just said they were just getting used to doing the laser machine at the salon and they didn't mean that.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed the $300 I spent on the sessions
