Dear Ms***,
This letter is in response to a complaint filed in your office ID No***
First of all, let me apologize for the late response to your request to provide a response to the complaint as I have not received your previous
letter you mentionedThis is therefore a response to your second notice dated Oct20, which was delivered Oct22,Wednesday when our office is closeThis was brought to my attention on
Oct23, ThursdayNonetheless, it is not because we are ignoring your request
The statement made by the complainant regarding her son's no show fee is incorrect for the incident happened not only onceWe saw the complainant's son initially on March 25, for a comprehensive dental examination and cleaningHe was advised to return to the office for dental treatments to address his dental problemsHe was seen different times for dental treatment and other treatments were later scheduledThe first time patient didn't show for an appointment was on Sept27, Mother called at 10:am the same day to cancel because patient had to stay back in school for a projectOur office policy is to notify our office hours prior to cancel or pay $for a broken appointment, which is as far as I know, is also the case for other dental officesEven though this is a last minute cancellation, we waived the fee and mom was told that next time a fee will be charged. On Oct8, patient called to reschedule missed appointment to OctPatient came for treatment and made another appointment before leaving the office for Octwhich he later cancelledA letter was sent regarding missed appointmentNo cancellation fee chargedJune 6, was another appointment that was made and confirmed by patient's motherPatient didn't show, didn't callThis time we charged for broken appointmentAs
previously mentioned, this is not just a onetime occurrenceHow many times should we forgive?
We value our patient's time so we try to accommodate their needs based on their availability and schedule them accordingly if the office schedule permitsOur office receives several calls during the day from other patients for urgent careIt wouldn't be fair to these patients who are in pain if we can't see them because a time has already been reserved for others At most times hours is not enough for us to call them back to notify them that there's an opening in the schedule and for them to make adjustments in their schedule to come to the office
In regards to the complainant's request to waive fee because the patient is only and has no source of income- although patient is 18, he is still dependent on parents/ guardian who agreed to be responsible for any fees that may incur when they signed the agreement on March 25, Parents are therefore responsible for the fees
We are in contract with dental insurance companies to provide urgent care for the clients. We cannot be effective in delivering patient care if we cannot be fair to those in pain and cannot be treated while others just choose to ignore and disregard office policiesOur office can provide you with documentations should you require it
I hope this letter explains and satisfies your inquiryIf you have any further questions please call me at our office at 678-We are open Mondays to Fridays from am to pm,Saturdays from am to pinWe are close on Wednesdays
Sincerely,
Mill Town Dental- Clinic, LLC

Subject: Complaint Action
I do not accept the response made by the business to resolve this complaint

I disagree with Dr ***, when I signed it my son was still a minor and when it happened the “no show” he was already an adult so how can it be that still the parents is responsible for the payments? Okay if that’s the case why Dr *** *** can’t give consideration to a student who doesn’t have a source of income? Does she have a heart to the people who are begging for a waiver? She is a doctor, does a $makes her company richer that’s why she the stick to her policy? It’s my first time to encounter doctors that never have a consideration to one’s patient situationAnd I beg to disagree that all doctors have the same policyAll doctors that I encountered are very considerate and understanding to the situation and not just insisting of their policy just to collect from patients. And by the way, why is it that on top of $there is a $interest fee. This is not even a service provided by Dr *** ***. Why do they have to put interest on it.
Sincerely,
*** ***
