Complaint Id# *** To whom it may concern First of all, we would like to apologize for a miscommunication that may have happenedWe have been in this business over years and we never had any issues like that
This client was scheduled for a free consultation at firstShe came in with her sister and had colored her hair jet black for a multiple yearsShe wanted an ombre with very blonde endsThe stylist had explained her that this is a process and that it is not going to happen at first visit, but she kept insistingThen she asked if we can do a blonde peek a boosWhere the stylist, one more time, explained her that it is still not going to be blonde but more orange from the first time Her response was, “I don’t mind being orangeI went through this process before and I know that it will take me a several tries to get to the blonde that I wantStylist offered her a much easier and cheaper option, to do blonde extensions, which she refused to do immediatelyEven her sister suggested that she listen to a professional adviceThe stylist did a free strand test (where we take a piece of hair and bleached it) to show her the color she is going to haveShe wanted to proceed As far as our pricing, we have eight page booklets that talk about all the feesThere is no way we can give you exact price for a hair color without seeing your hair (since everyone’s hair conditions vary)That is why, we schedule a free consultationWhen this particular client was asked how much she is looking to spend, she said:” somewhere around 160$”This service that she got, would have been 400$ but we both agreed to 285$She had to first remove her jet black color (75$), then do a treatment (35$), Foil the peek a boos (90$), in between put a black color (90$)Then she washed her and had to trefoil the peek a boos again, because the blonde did not grab (75$)Then she washed her again, did a treatment (35$), applied toner (45$)As well we send her home with free products (to continue the treatments at home to prepare her hair for follow up visit) worth of 60$The stylist spent hours with herAt the end of her service, she was very happy with the outcomeShe left a generous gratuity and rebooked her next visitFew days later we received a phone call from her mother, stating that, even though, her daughter liked the color, it was still to expensiveShe wanted to get refundWe explained her that we spent a lot of time and products and that we agreed on everything with her daughter prior to service. Few days later they showed up with her mom at our storeSo, it seemed like, the only issue was the money, but not the job, cause they wanted half money backWe offered her next follow up visit at no cost (120$)We don’t think that any other salons would offer free services With that being sad, we don’t think it is fare to us to give the refund to herShe was warned multiple times about the color, we even showed it to herShe was told about the cost as wellShe agreed on everything and left happy (we even have that on our cameras)As a salon owner the only thing I can do, is let her come in so we can go ahead and finish her color Thank you Milla’s Hair Salon
