February 25, 2017Dear *** ***;I write in response to a complaint submitted to your office on February 16, 2017, and assigned to ID #***.Customer purchased said vehicle from Millennium Motors on September 30, Customer brought said vehicle to Millennium Motors for repair on February 14,
At no point did Millennium acknowledge to customer prior to vehicle being brought in for service that Millennium was only going to charge for the cost of the partsWhen customer initially spoke with Millennium, customer stated he was going to purchase the parts needed for repair, and asked Millennium to install them on vehicleWhen customer brought vehicle to Millennium for service, customer did not purchase parts and asked Millennium to order parts and install then,Customer was advised that the total for work to be performed (parts and labor) was $I personally spoke with customer regarding thisAt this point, and in good faith (even though customer's warranty has expired), I agreed to only charge for the parts totaling $(no charge for labor totaling $338,02)The parts included plugs for $28.44, wires for $77,24, intake gasket for $75.04, and air filter for $Customer advised Millennium to charge $on his credit card. After work begun to vehicle, our mechanic, Terry, noticed that a valve cover needed replaced, Customer was called and advised that Millennium's cost for the valve cover was $65, and that we would charge customer that base priceCustomer agreed and advised us to charge $to his credit card.On February 23, 2017, Millennium's bank account reflected a chargeback of $255; which consequently was customer disputing our charges, and refunding back to himself $that customer paid Millennium for partsDue to this fact, Millennium is out for parts we put on the vehicle at no charge for laborIn other words, Millenniurn bought the parts for this customer because customer, on his own, disputed his credit card charges, and was refunded the money for parts Millennium purchased for his vehicle which he agreed ty.Consequently, customer's complaint to your office is null and void because we have not received any money from customer. As an upstanding business in the community, Millennium performed the service work requested by customer, did not charge customer for labor totaling $338,02, and subsequently did not get compensated for work performed.Very truly yours,Thomas M., Owner
