Millennium Gynecology Reviews (4)

October 17, 2014Dear [redacted].We are in receipt of your letter dated October 10, 2014 regarding above case ID# and would like to strongly dispute and clarify this erroneous information that has been reported to the BetterBusiness Bureau about our company. The patient presented to...

our office in April 2014 for her well women’s exam with complaints of vaginal discharge and irritation. A pap smear WAS NOT performed as the patient stated in her complaint. However, because she was complaining of the vaginal discharge, vaginal cultures were performed per medical standard of care. Of note, the results came back positive and she was promptly treated. As for the billing of these services, Millennium Gynecology only billed for the office visits and NOT the laboratorycharges. Her insurance processed our claim and processed the claim towards the patient’s deductible, which she paid. This is the amount she believes she should be resunded. If the patient believes her insurance processed the claim in error, then she should have contacted the insurance to reprocess the claim to pay at 100%.We are requesting that Revdex.com contact the patient for further clarification and close this matter without further action. Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Kathy T

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because I will get a copy of my medical and insurance records to provide the physician DID NOT perform the service for which I was billed.  Despite what the Office Manager claims, I was present in the exam room and she was not.  Therefore, she can't speak with certainty what services were performed.

Review: I was a patient at Millennium Gynecology in [redacted], Virginia. I was seen for my annual pap test back in November of 2012. I was called about a week or so later to come back for another pap test because not enough cells were collected by the doctor. Instead I was brought in for something totally different that is not covered under [redacted] and now I received a bill for $145.00 because some one put the wrong code in and another bill for 130.00 which is for the follow-up and that was the real reason the doctor had me come in. I spoke with the manager of the facility, [redacted], and she stated, "Yes, it was an error on their behalf for basically deceiving me, but there was nothing she could do about the $130.00. Yes, it could be written. I am not responsible for that amount and I should not be forced to pay either.I firmly believe that when a mistake is made on one's behalf, it is on that individual to do what they can to fix it.I do not need this on my credit for failure to pay when I did nothing wrong. Millennium failed to fully understand what [redacted] covers and what it does not cover. I was firmly aware and had I been told this is a follow up, I would have not gone because it is not covered. I was never informed that the reason for me going on 11/30/2012 was going to be a follow-up. When I had to get something lanced, I had to return for follow-up to see if it was healing correctly. That is classified as a follow-up In this case, a message was left for me to come back in so that they could collect another round of cells. I was told that I had to wait a week to be seen. I called the following Monday after thanksgiving and was told an opening was not until that Friday. The doctor knew my results were negative, but yet I had to wait a full week just to be told they were negative.Desired Settlement: For Millennium to take full responsibly for their actions and write off the $130.00 and stop sending billing forms to my address when I am not responsible for the $145.00, nor the $130.00 for that matter. I asked for a document stating I was not responsible for the 145.00 because of a billing code error and the $130.00 is being disputed by [redacted]. I asked for that the end of May and it is August and I have received nothing!

Review: In April 2014, I went into the Millennium Gynecology [redacted], VA office for a problem visit. I was incorrectly charged for pap smear services which I DID NOT receive. After several attempts to reach the billing office, I spoke with one of the front desk staff in late July. After several frustrating attempts to explain I never received the pap smear, she finally reviewed my chart and discovered I was in correct. Therefore, I was due a refund of $160.33 which she was going to request from the billing office. I was told I would receive my refund in two weeks. Two months later and several unreturned messages, I still have not received my refund.Desired Settlement: I simply want a refund of the $160.33 which I paid as a result of the billing error.
