I had drug testing ordered by my pain management doctor approximately every 3 months. They sent the urine samples to Millennium Laboratory in CA. My last test was an oral test. The technician said the tip of the tester should turn blue once enough saliva filled it. I have dental implants and missing teeth. I don't produce much saliva at all. I told the technician. I wasn't even able to do a saliva hormone test. I sat for nearly 45 minutes waiting for the tip to turn blue. It never did. I recorded the last 13 minutes on my phone. I said to the technician, what happens since it didn't turn blue? She said they'll just try with what they have. I offered to take a urine test as a backup, but she would allow me to.
My test came back positive for cocaine but negative for benzos. I haven't even seen cocaine in over 20 years! I take benzos every day! I am prescribed a benzo and have been taking that medication for years. My pain management doctor dismissed me nevertheless. The nurse wouldn't even listen to me. This was the second time that this lab came back with a drug that was not in my system, a false positive.
I called the company directly. I asked about the chain of custody of samples, the testing methodology, control samples, SOPs... Finally I was told that this type of information could not be discussed with clients. I asked what agency where they regulated under... she said TIPP. I repeated it back to her. She repeated, "TIPP". I can find no such regulatory agency across the entire World Wide Web.
I hope everyone is requesting, demanding, a copy of their test results every time they are tested. I have requested all back copies of all of my tests from both Millennium Laboratory and my doctor. I have also looked up reviews of Millennium Laboratory and found multiple cases of fraud, intimidation, false billing equaling millions of dollars. This is a play for pay company and any physician using them frankly is not credible! Their privacy policy is horrible. I am requesting information as to how to get this false information off of my permanent medical record.
