Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not satisfied with the outcome of my complaint with Millennium Motors submitted on January 31, 2018.Prior to signing the final paperwork purchasing a 2004 Honda Civic, I was told on 3 different occasions that the battery did not need to be replaced. On the final paperwork it did state "as is" which was first disclosed at the signing.Since I was assured that the battery was fine, the paperwork was signed. The battery needed replacing 2 days later.I did not return to Millennium to have it replaced because I didn't want to be stranded with a dead battery. It should have been replaced by Millennium before the final purchase. The owner of Millennium stated that the battery would only cost them $60.00.I requested a reimbursement of $60.00 from them since I had it replaced for $119.00The owner declined to pay me the $60.00 which would have satisfied my complaint.

I went to this dealer hoping to get a vehicle I found online. I showed up there & there was someone already looking at the car. They decided to put a deposit down on the car to put it on hold & I was very disappointed. I asked to see what he could do for me & he respected the gentleman who put the vehicle on hold by keeping it for them even though I had cash on hand. As soon as they found out the loan didn't go through for the other guy, they instantly gave me a call. After that call, I went in & purchased the vehicle. This family owned business had wonderful customer service & I would recommend purchasing your next vehicle here.

I cannot possibly say enough about how pleased I was with my experience at Millennium. Nick and his staff are so professional, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. They actually had the extremely-hard-to-find car I had just totaled and wanted desperately to replace. It is in fantastic condition, low miles, wonderful price; a dream come true. In an amazing move, once I had finished my purchase and needed to return my rental car, Nick let my friend and me follow him right to Enterprise at the airport. He SO did not have to do that an hour after his normal closing time. I drive my cars forever so I doubt I'll get to buy another car from them but you definitely should!!! Ellie from Chicago

Last weekend my wife and I test drove a car from Millennium Motor Sales. I made an offer on the car and clearly stated " this offer includes what I'm willing to pay for the car, taxes, fees, etc... ". My offer was verbally accepted by Millennium, and I even made a down payment to hold the vehicle until I could come back with my car title and cash. About an hour later we returned to Millennium to complete the transaction. Unfortunately the Manager tried to stick us with another $500 worth of taxes and fees, despite our verbal agreement. When I brought up the fact that I clearly stated the terms of my offer for this car which they remembered and agreed to, they would not honor our agreed-to price. Needless to say we left and will never go back to Millennium Motors again. I would strongly warn against doing business with those dishonest 3 stooges.

Review: I purchased a 98 Toyota 4 runner from Millennium Motor Sales that had several mechanical problems not identified on buyers guide and not truthfully told to me when I asked several times. Some of these things are a bad O2 sensors, brittle brake drums, sunroof not operational, hood latch not functioning properly, back hatch not functioning properly, rear window issues, steering issues, A/C not working, low fluids, rear heat not working, and on the buyers guide all things listed above were checked off ok. I also asked several times if there were any major or minor problems, I was told no every time. Also I was told that there was no check engine light on, but as soon as truck reached 50 mph the check engine light came on. I set up an appointment with a shop the day after I purchased this vehicle and in was taken in the following Monday. The shop said the down stream O2 sensor was bad, the rear brake drums were brittle and unsafe. I called them they offered me a courtesy $200. Shop labor and parts came to a total of $914.23. Shop is willing to write a statement.Desired Settlement: Reimbursed for Shop labor and parts of $914.23

Response:

I would first like to start off by saying that the vehicle is sold as-is and several documents stating that was signed by the customer. The customer was also aware that our vehicles are priced for the condition they are in. They are not certified used vehicles but are inspected to the best of knowledge in accordance to the Wisconsin Buyers guide "general condition" and "equipment required".

Secondly, The salesman had gone on a test drive with the customers which went about 15 minutes or so. During the drive the customers did check the heat, a/c, power locks, windows, sunroof etc. as any buyer would. Being aware of the inoperative sunroof and FUNCTIONING but slowly operating power back glass, the customers were offered a discount of $200 and accepted.

After test driving the purchased vehicle, The customers continued to test features and look the vehicle over and had no complaints about any missing fluids, or inoperative features other than the issues that were discounted on nor did they have a check engine light in the dash.

Over a week after purchasing the said vehicle, Customer called and complained about the rear brake shoes and brake drums needed replacing and a check engine light came on for the downstream O2 sensor. Keep in mind that nobody knows when a check engine light is going to come on or when a sensor like such goes bad. Vehicles will always need to be maintained and likely more as they get older. We requested a quote for the listed parts above from our local Auto parts store and were quoted $158.39. The customer specified that the parts that were replaced were from the Toyota dealer but could not provide a receipt. We offered to give the customer an additional $200.00 to help with repairs and the customer declined.

We apologize for any inconvenience to the customer. We try to help if needed the best we can in the most fair way for both parties as we have been for the past 14 years in business. Hope all is well.
