damage is more extensive than initially thought. The entire front hub needs to be replaced and the wheel rebuilt. There will be additional costs, beyond the $181 already paid, to be covered by Performance. The bike, which is my primary transportation, has been out of service for nearly a month at this time (July 8, 2015) ,causing me significant hardship. However, I am thankful that this catastrophic failure did not result in any injury to myself or others, as it easily could have.While Performance has been cooperative up to this point, I cannot consider the matter closed until the bike is returned to service.
