Review: I have a Miller Welding machine, a Trailblazer 301 that is hard to impossible to start in the winter. According to a service bulletin put out by Miller Welding, the magnetos in this welder were defect from the manufacturer and should be replaced as a warranty claim. When I called them about it they said that I had had the welder too long and it wasn't under warranty. Since this is covered under the service bulletin as defective parts, I feel that it should be replaced no matter how long I have had the welder. This has two magnetos and I have photos of them as well as the Miller service bulletin and the model and make of the welding machine. The model is: Miller Trailblazer 301 G, it has a Robin Subaru Performer V engine OHV 220 engine made for Onan. The information I have is out of the Onan/Robin Subaru Parts Manual PUB-EP220W, rev. 09/05 Page 44. The engine is model # [redacted] and Family # [redacted]. I have photos of the magnetos, also called ignition coils, in place if you would like them as well as the photos of the ID Plates.Desired Settlement: I would like to have them replace the magnetos at no cost to myself. I don't want to get the run around with Miller saying that I have to talk to Onan or Robin Subaru, since I bought a Miller Welder, not the components that go into it. Thank you.

Although the customer filed his complaint with the Revdex.com on 11OCT13, Miller Electric was not notified of the issue until 13NOV13 through the Revdex.com of Wisconsin’s complaint management system. On 13NOV13, I personally contacted Mr. [redacted] requesting additional information to resolve his case and received a reply the following day 14NOV13. Based on the customer’s request and his lack of warranty coverage on the product in question, we are evaluating all resources available to us to satisfy his claim and still meet our warranty guidelines.
