I am rejecting this response because: I would never expect anyone todo anything for free, yes I did ask for concrete to be poured in front on my doorway which would have been maybe another and I had no problem paying thatMy issue is with the original contract that I was given where I verbally accept and if need I can attach it along with the letter that was sent to himAs I previously stated I had estimates and they all were the same measurements, I had no reason to give him anything differentThe only reason that I add concrete in front of the doorway is because of the people that gave me estimates told me that it would look better and since it was such a small area they would just throw it into the cost that they quoted me, but I was willing to pay MrM***, but a another was not what I was willing to pay because one his workers made a mistakeI don't want anything further from Miller's garage, I just don't feel that he follows his contract and I refused to sign the contract after he dug up my yard and then raised the price of the original contractAnd why would I tell them to leave the extra gravel in a pile when there shouldn't have been any extra gravel They all come out of the driveway, they should have all been put back

To Whom It May Concern:The following is my response to the above referenced complaint.  The building was not built too high as our customer stated.  She is incorrect.  If we built it lower, water would find its way into her building.  Customer was aware that she was going to need...

gravel to access her building when we started the job.  Customer stated at the time we were finished with her building, that she did not have the money at that time for concrete approach or gravel.  When customer called to schedule the concrete work I explained that it was going to be difficult to be able to get this done this year due to the time of the year and falling temperatures and also due to my schedule, as I already had customers who had signed many months before for work to be done and it wouldn't be right to put them off in order to squeeze someone else's work in front of them.  I explained to her then that I would try to fit her in if possible but to feel free to find another contractor to do concrete because I couldn't guarantee her that I could get this additional work done this year, that is why we didn't sign a contract and I didn't ask for any money down.  We had NO obligation and NO signed contract with this customer for this additional work.  I did contact her to let her know that I could get her concrete work done in November because we had so many nice days.  She said she wanted to ADD a sidewalk and make the pad BIGGER than what was originally estimated and measured for.  I explained to her that we would form it out and we would then get her approval on the new scope of work and give her a price for the additional work and material.  I did call to confirm after the job was formed out that this was what she wanted, she replied yes this was what she wanted. At that time I made out an invoice/contract for her to sign for the new scope of work and new cost and she refused to sign and refused to give any money down.  I told her I would not do the work without the signed approval or any money down.  She wanted all of this work to be done without paying for it or without a signed contract. Her new price reflected the stone that she had already supplied.  The next day she let me know that she felt that she should not have to pay for the extra concrete she wanted, she felt it should have been included in the original estimate and said she didn't want the work done by my company.  She told me to get my forms, replace the stone where it was and leave the extra stone in a pile, which we did.  In closing, I never had a signed contract with Ms. [redacted].  NO money was ever exchanged.  I was never obligated in any way to do this work.  Ms. [redacted] is out NOTHING.  I feel that she was trying to get me to work for free.Sincerely, Gary M[redacted]
