This is my story. I've had [redacted]'s  vehicle for almost a month now. This is the story, [redacted] needed cadillac converters put on her car and I told her we could get them on line or from the dealer, dealer cost was 2873.16 dollars or we can get them on ebay for about $560, but with ordering parts...

online it's a gamble you never know what your going to get, she told me just to order them online, so I told her with being a new customer you need to pay for parts up front and she did, so she picked the online part.I told her I needed to get paid for the parts and you could drop the truck off when I got the parts, but when she came and gave me the parts money she insisted on just leaving the truck,  I ordered the parts and they sent the wrong part so I called and they said it was there mistake but I had to pay for the part again,  and once I sent the previous part back I would get reimbursed plus shipping, so I did that. Shipping was 4 to 6 business days so once I paid again I was sent parts again, once again they were wrong, so I called [redacted] and told her I got the wrong parts again, I felt bad which wasn't my fault that they sent me the wrong parts. So I called [redacted] and told her what happened and offered her my personal vehicle to drive so she could get to her doctors appointments because she had cancer and didn't have a ride to her doctors appointments,  she has had my vehicle since and now it's been for weeks I tried to do her a favor cause I felt bad for her, but I guess it's what they say, you try to help someone out and you get the stick, I have over 1500 dallars trying to help her out and do her a favor  just so she won't half to pay dealer cost , plus gave her a car to drive for free, I'm discussed how she could call me out and report me, I've never put my hand out to help someone

[redacted] came into True Blue Automotive to pay and pick up his 2002 [redacted] on May 4th,2017. He paid and drove off True Blue Automotive lot. About 10 minutes later [redacted] drove back to True Blue Automotive and said that his vehicle isn’t driving over 40mph and that he knows his vehicle...

and it wasn’t driving like that before. True Blue Automotive stated that his 2002 [redacted] came in on a flat bed and that the vehicle had a bad timing belt. So, True Blue Automotive said a tune-up may help it. [redacted] asked how much that would cost and True Blue Automotive said roughly $350.00-$400.00 for a tune-up. [redacted] said he doesn’t have any money and spent more on vacation then he should have and that True Blue Automotive should pay for the tune-up. True Blue Automotive asked [redacted] why should we pay for the tune-up, that wasn’t part of the job. [redacted] asked please, please help me, my wife is going to be very upset with me.True Blue Automotive told him to give us a minute. Spoke to the boss and went back to [redacted] and said we’d do the complete tune-up and True Blue Automotive would pay for it, to make a customer happy.[redacted] left the vehicle for the tune-up and the vehicle was turned over to True Blue Automotive’s mechanic- he looked at it and scanned vehicle and mechanic said the tune-up is not worth it-that it’s in the motor and the tune-up will not help the vehicle. And refused to do the tune-up. True Blue Automotive called [redacted] and he came back down to True Blue Automotive and we explained what it was.[redacted] would not listen, it was impossible to talk to him. Anything we would have done for him would not make him happy.

Like we had said in the previous statements, we were very up front with the customer about the pricing and the condition of the vehicle and the unrecommended repair to this vehicle. We know a lot about these types of engines and we sent plenty of explanations on our knowledge and documents and articles to even back that up in our previous statement. And the vacation is relevant yes, because if it was not why would I even know about it? Why bring it up if it had nothing to do with the repair? [redacted] said, “my wife is going to be so mad because we have already over spent money on the vacation.”As for parts, not being on the customers car, everything we take off, we put back on. We do not need used parts. And as for some mechanic saying that a plastic cover missing will keep the car from running anyway is absurd. It’s just a dust cover. Even if it was missing which it is not, it would not effect the car from running, because if it did how did the car drive off the lot, as the customer stated. Remember this car came in on a flat bed with a no start condition. So, does it need to run or no.And for the cylinder 5 misfire and the valve damage, well it’s kind of funny because that is what I had told [redacted], this is probably from the belt. Therefore, we did not want to do the repair, because there was no guaranteeing the motors condition. But [redacted] refused to listen and as for the tune-up we were not trying to charge him $400.00, we were telling [redacted] approximately how much it might cost for a tune-up, [redacted] said he couldn’t pay that it was too much so we came back to satisfy the customer and said we were going to do it for him at no cost. And told [redacted] if that would fix the issue we will do the tune-up. We wrote on our sign-in sheet “tune-up no cost” and [redacted] agreed and signed back in and signed it.  So, for him to say that we would charge him is a lie and absurd. We however did not do the tune-up because we scanned the vehicle and found that it would not fix it.Customers should know their budgets and listen to the people who are trained to do a job and listen when they don’t recommend something. To do it could save the customer money to listen to professionals. Everything was explained, we took videos and pictures before and after the repairs from not running to running.Remember once again, the car was towed in on a flat bed and drove out even that was a miracle
