Miller motte in raleigh nc is the worst so called college I have ever attended they take your money, as they tell you things that are not true I know this from my personal experience with them their tv ads state "we help you with job placement while you attend college, after you graduate and even into your work career this is a big lie!!!!!!!!! When confronted they walk around the subject by trying to make you enroll for another program they offer, so they can get more money from you and leave you hanging without any job placement assistant for a 2nd time! Trust me stay away from these people!! I wouldn't trust them with my dead dog!

Miller-Motte College is a Mickey Mouse organization They have advertising on television Their ad states "We help you find a job while you are attending school, after you graduate from school and even into the lifetime of your career" I know for a fact that this is 100% FALSE!!!!!! I attend school there, graduated (even paid cash) Right before graduation, I found out that If you pay cash, they do not help you find a job Now, three years after graduating, I cannot find a job in phlebotomy (not enough experience, not to mention, I am not certified by THE CORRECT ACCREDITATION AGENCY! I have wasted SO MUCH MONEY RENEWING MY LICENSE FOR NO REASON, AS WELL AS GOING TO SCHOOL TO GET NOTHING IN RETURN!!!!!

I started Miller motte online May 28th 2018. I have not recieved any disbursement and today is Sept 10. I was told they are still waiting which is hard to believe considering they keep adding up can someone pls help I have thought about contacting the local news if the issue is not resolved by the end of this week.

Miller motte online is a joke they have already received there money and now they talking about I have to wait 14 days until it's posted to my bank mobile card I'm getting frustrated because the school told me it was to be issued after 30 days we attended school well it's been over 30 days and they charging so much and putting you in class that has nothing to do with your program you taking.

Miller Motte College has a bogus program called Medical Clinical Assisting Diploma. Unfortunately I graduated from this program thinking my dreams of being a medical assistant in a hospital setting would come true. After enrolling and being told by Miller Motte staff and instructors that this program would make me more employable, I learned it was the opposite. This program does not offer the certification that hospitals or the majority of medical offices require to be hired. Although I graduated with a 3.89 GPA and was hired by the medical office I did my internship with, I could not get a job in any hospital or decent medical office. No office accepted my NHA certification- everyone wants AAMA certification. Miller Motte College was very deceptive about this program, not telling students that it's not worth the money and/or loans you take out to pay for it. I tried speaking to a Miller Motte representative about my situation and dissatisfaction and they said to come back and complete a two year medical assisting degree. I looked into it but they refused to count my previously done required unpaid internship as credit towards the two year degree program. Since I have a family and need to be paid to work- plus I'd already done the required internship with them- I refused to do it all again. They're just out to con people into a bogus program which will most likely NOT lead to a decent medical assisting job in the healthcare industry. Now they want me to pay my loans back to them but hey, where's that promising future they said I'd have? I graduated in 2013 and my NHA certification expired last year but I didn't bother to renew it because it's a waste of money. I have ended up becoming a medical receptionist now. If I had the time or money, I'd like to sue them for fraud.

Withdrew class and was told I forfeit unused financial aidMy financial aid was processed for 360 clock hours I withdrew at the point of 240 hours and never returned to complete the full 360 hours, I was told by the call center financial aid rep that I completed 65% of the 360 hours and that I would not be adjusted for the difference because I forfeit that money by not withdrawing I then asked for it in writing and was told that they don't have that to send and would not be sending it to me.Desired SettlementRefund if he difference of hours (120) not attendedBusiness Response We reached out to Ms. [redacted] to answer her questions in regards to her financial aid. We did speak with her and did provide her with documents to help answer her questions. We encourage Ms. [redacted] to reach back out to us directly should she have additional questions. Consumer Response I have not spoken with Miller Motte since Jan. 29, 2016 in which I told them that I would submit this to the better business as the documents emailed to me did not comply with what they stated the documents show that non term and term students and the no refund information is listed below the term in which I was a non term student.

Completed a quarter and still haven't received financial aid. Was forced to drop out because of days missed due to not getting refund.I have been a student of Miller-Motte in Greenville, NC since July 2013. I have never had an issue with them up until now. I have completed a quarter and still haven't received my refund that was owed to me. I contacted [redacted] which is the financial aid advisor and received a different message every time. I contacted her. First it was something about a new system and I would receive it in July. Then she lied and said that my name was first on a list and come to find out that there is no priority list. Third she I was suppose to receive an email to confirm my disbursement which I never received. Last she is telling me that because I withdrew that I have to wait. I have never depended on the disbursement put at this time I was having hardship and that was my way of getting back and forth to school. Here it is in August and I sill haven't received anything, I have left countless messages and no one at the school returns my calls. I also felt like it was wrong to advise a student to dropout seeing how they wanted to continue with their education. There should have been other options besides telling a student to withdraw. I would love to go back because I spent a year there and only had a year left. Now I feel like I wasted my time and money for something that could easily be fixed. I would love to receive a resolution instead of a bunch of lies from this person yet alone this college. I know of other people who is have the same issues with them and not getting a resolution and something has to be done about it.Desired SettlementI am seeking the the money that is owed to me and I am also seeking to re-enter into school.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] SFSOContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]Miller-Motte College advised its students to complete their FAFSA for the 14-15 award year no later than June 1, 2014. Not completing the FAFSA timely was the first reason that your funding was delayed. We moved to new financial aid processing software over the break and had down-time before we could process packaging for students. If your FAFSA had been completed by the deadline, your aid would have been processed prior to this conversion. I spoke with you on July 15, 17, 23, and 29 regarding the status of your packaging. On July 15, I advised you that your file would be the first I submitted when our new system went live. As promised, your file was the first submitted. However, when you miss more than 14 days of class, you are automatically dropped from school by academics. This happened to you on July 23, and this overrides any pending financial aid disbursements that you have. The change in your active status with the school causes your account to freeze for an [redacted] calculation (Return to Title IV). We are required to complete this in compliance with Department of Education regulations. Once this calculation is completed, any remaining funds that may be owed to you will be issued out to you. I advised you during our conversations on July 23 and 29 that you were no longer an active student; however, I did not recommend or advise that you drop out of school, and have never suggested that to anyone attending this college. We wish to see each and every student succeed. I hope that you are able to return to school to finish your degree, and we would be happy to assist you with the re-entry process.Consumer Response I was never contacted on filling out my financial aid until June 20th. School started back on July 16th and I knew other students who filled out there financial aid around the same time I did. I know I haven't missed 14 days out of school bc it had just started. [redacted] was the one who advised me that I had to drop because I haven't been to class like I said before I felt like there should have been another solution because of the quarter just starting. I find your response unacceptable and full of lies. All I this could have been avoided if I had straight up answer from someone who knew what they were doing.Final Business Response We sent emails, posted flyers, and made phone calls to all students reminding them to complete their FAFSA by June 1. If our Registrar stated that you had to drop from not attending classes during our drop/add period, then you were not in line with the school's attendance policy and that is the reason you were dropped from school. This has been the policy since you started school last year and something you were made aware of, so we did not have any another solution for you once you broke the policy. We have documentation to back up all statements and dates provided in the prior response, so I am not sure what we can do to further assist you. As stated before, your account is frozen until your [redacted] is complete and we can resolve any further issues at that time.

I withdrew as a student from MMC Online. I had a refund of $2300 due to me when I withdrew. Two months later, they still haven't processed the refund. In June 2014, I spoke with [redacted] about what would happen with my $2301 stipend from a scholarship since I had withdrawn. She said that all she needed was my verbal authorization to send the money to my Higher One account. I told her, yes, please do that. She very happily, bubbly and gleefully told me that the money would be released to me within 14 days. Great. I went on and enrolled at a local community college, with the belief I had $2301 coming to me to help pay for my tuition and books. Close to 20 days later, the refund had not been dispersed to me. I no longer have access to my Student Portal to check on it myself, so I called [redacted], who was my financial aid advisor, and left her a nice voicemail saying that I wanted to check on what was going on since it had been past the 14 days she told me it would take. A couple days later, I still had not heard back from her, (and still to this day never heard anything from her) so I decided to reach out to someone else with MMC. This time, I was told that [redacted] was correct in quoting me 14 days, and that this person would submit a research ticket to figure out what the hold up was and that they would call me just as soon as the heard something within 2 days. BIG SURPRISE! They never called me back. So... I reached out to [redacted], who directed me to yet another financial aid advisor. This person told me that because I had withdrawn, my account needed to be researched to see if I was entitled to the stipend, or if the school would try and claim any of the funds. I told this person that I am now enrolled at a local community college and was counting on the $2301 I had been told WEEKS ago I would be getting within 14 days to pay for tuition and books. This person seemed and spoke apologetically, and said they understood my frustration. I told them I wish that I had just been given the WHOLE story in the first place. They said give it a couple weeks because the Title IV process took time and the department responsible for doing it was really backed up. I gave it a couple weeks and called back to get an update. This time I was told by someone named [redacted] that it looked like it still had not been processed, (this was on 8/26/2014) but that if nothing had been posted to my Higher One account by today, Friday, 8/29/2014, to call back to see what was going on. No money has been deposited, so I called the numbers I have been given several times and left them each a voicemail. I consider myself to be a patient and understanding person. At this point, however, I am beyond frustrated and have tried being very patient and understanding. I honestly feel like I am either getting the run around or the school is just very unorganized and not capable of getting things done efficiently. I would like to get a honest answer with a reasonable timing of when something is going to be done and not an answer to just hold me off for a week. If MMC expects their payments from loans, etc on time, you would think they could find a way to get things done in a timely manner for their students. Any time in my 2 years of being enrolled, if I have needed to speak with someone in FA I never could get anyone to return my calls, I always had to call and call and call until someone would answer the phone. I don't think MMC listens to their voicemails or something. You can't just tell people they are getting a $2301 refund within 14 days, and then 2 months later, not really have any idea whats going on with the refund. Desired SettlementI would like a solid date on when my account will be processed, along with an amount and date of what I will be receiving. At this point, I was not able to pay for my tuition and books at my new school because I have not received the stipend I was quoted to get 2 months ago from Miller Motte, therefore I have had to put my education on hold until this is resolved with MMC. This matter has been resolved.

I finish and pass [redacted] driving test and acquired my CDL A license on 4-22-2016.I have yet to get my certificate. I paid the $4,000 for the course. I have spoken to the director [redacted] and said that he requested the certificate to Miller-Motte College. [redacted] the education consultant for the trucking course tells me in has been mail. It is now July 14 2016 I have yet to get my trucking certificate. It seems they got the $4,000 for the course I paid and they do not care about anything else.Desired SettlementFor Miller-Motte to send me my Trucking certificate Business Response We spoke with Mr. [redacted] on 7/18/16 to confirm his address. We have sent a second diploma to him via UPS with tracking to make sure it reaches it's destination this time. We are proud to have Mr. [redacted] as a graduate of our CDL Training program. We wish him the best of luck and will be happy to assist him in any way possible in the future.

I paid to get my transcript and they are holding them. They say I owe a balance. This school is a rip off. I went to this school back in 2012, they said I owe $750 for a class that I never new I owed money for. I find its suspicious that I never received a bill or an invoice from them in the mail or a call. Now I am trying to go to a new school and they are holding my transcripts and saying they will not send them until I pay. I am doing research and finding that I am not the only one who has had this issue. There have been people who have had the same issue. Why should we be at fault for something they should have sent a bill out for or something that should have been covered under my student loans that I had with them in the first place. When I went to talk to them on Wednesday they said the only thing I would be able to do is pay the balance in full. I could not make payments. I said I wanted to talk to the dean. They would not let me. I am sick and tired of hearing about all the people who have had issues with them. I am doing something about it! I am unemployed and can not pay the $750 balance. I just am at my wits end with this. All I want is my transcripts released. This school is the biggest scam and needs to be shut down.Desired SettlementI would like my transcripts from Miller Motte and for the balance to be wiped clean. Business Response The student is correct that she was told she has a balance and that she could not receive an official transcript due to the balance. The college catalog states that students that have not satisfied their financial obligation to the school are not eligible to receive transcripts. After having reviewed the student's ledger card and learning more details about her situation, the campus will clear the students remaining balanced owed and send the student her official transcript. The campus will reach out to the student to tell her about the resolution. The student is welcome to contact the campus and speak to the Campus Director should she have any other questions or concerns. Consumer Response Thank you so much for your help! They should be mailing me my transcripts this week. If not I will be contacting you again.Final Consumer Response

Employees were more interested in getting payments rather than helping with VA benefits.I started school at Miller Motte- cary in January 2012. When I signed up, I made sure I let them know that I was a Vet of Iraq that I am in the military. They proceeded to help me apply for loans. Never once did they offer to help with my VA info. I went semesters without using my VA benefits and had to pay out of pocket every semester. Meanwhile having perfect attendance awards as well as presidents list awards. Having a 4.0 GPA. I finally brought my VA paperwork in and the financial adviser didn't even know what the paper was then proceeded to ask me about my payment. Never wanted to help me with my VA info. I went to his supervisor and finally had someone that knew what paper I was turning in. After helping with that I also had military TA assistance the school took 51 day turning in my grades for that, but kept asking for money that I needed to pay them. If they would of helped me with my benefits I would not have needed to pay them and if they turned in my grades on time they would of gotten paid. Instead they wanted me to feel like I wasn't paying them and wouldn't be able to go to school there. I ended up dropping out due to not being able to pay them and pay my bills. Now I owe them for dropping out BUT NO ONE HELPED ME. I am so outraged at the fact this school doesn't have competent VA reps and only care about the money instead of helping students get assistance especially military.Desired SettlementI am looking to settle the payements I owe them but only if they are legit. Business Response /[redacted]/Business has called the consumer to try to resolve the issue. He has not yet heard back from her. He will attempt to reach her again to day to set up a meeting.

I have had numerous discrepancies with the handling of my financial aid disbursements. After graduation was postponed was not notified of new date.First, I would like to state my account balance was never accurate. My stipends from financial aid were never correct. The thing that bothered me the most was being told I could not obtain my diploma due to a past due balance. After investigation on the online portal I was surprised to see I had a positive balance of over $3000. When I was finally able to contact someone after numerous phone calls and voice mails the balance was zeroed out with no explanation. I called numerous other times to get an understanding of how that happened without the balance being dispersed to me still no answer. Also, my graduation was canceled due to bad weather and I was never notified of the new graduation date. After purchasing my cap and gown, working hard to graduate, not to mention the loans I have to pay back I never walked across the stage. Since I was not able to attend due to their lack of communication I should be reimbursed for the amount that was with held for that as well. I have yet to receive my diploma as well. I would also like to know what happens to the money that was held to pay for my certification exams. I have yet to take the exam and I am not taking the exam through Miller-Motte. I have to pay that money back as well, but I was never given the chance to use it. They are not very transparent at all with how your money is handled. I am so disgusted. Desired SettlementI would like the funds rightfully owed to me dispersed to me. If there is justifiable evidence of why it is not owed I would need that in a detailed letter. I would like to receive my diploma as well.Business Response Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Before we respond fully to Ms. [redacted] concerns, we would like to discuss the concerns with her in person. We will reach out to her today and attempt to schedule a meeting. Once we have met we will supply our update. Consumer Response I have not been contacted by this company. I contacted the once again after I filed the complaint. I e-mailed the company as well with a list of my concerns. I do have the e-mailed to prove this. No one ever responded to this detailed e-mail. The only thing that has been done is my diploma was sent out. They sent me the 1st and last page of my ledger no pages in between. It still shows the owe me money. I am not satisfied with the results at all. I spoke with the company that handles my student loans and [redacted] grants. The loan company stated it is a hassle when money is returned due to the fact they borrow from so many different people they don't know who it goes back to. They [redacted] company stated they have not received a return amount of over $12. I have done my part contacting them and I still need answers. They requested to speak to me,but they have not followed up with me.Final Business Response Thank you again for the opportunity to respond. We too want to resolve the confusion around this complaint. As I stated we would do yesterday, we did call her number we have on file - XXX-XXX-XXXX. We received her voice mail and left a message at approximately 1:07pm. We were unaware that she did not receive her entire ledger card until today. We did confirm that the scan did only catch the first and last page. [redacted] is emailing that to her this morning. We would still like to set up a face to face meeting with Ms. [redacted] as we left on the message yesterday. We would like to meet either Tuesday or Thursday of next week. She can reach either [redacted] (XXX-XXX-XXXX)or [redacted] (XXX-XXX-XXXX). It may be necessary to leave a message as both of us are in meetings much of the day today (June 27th). We look forward to explaining the situation to Ms. [redacted] and resolving this issue.

I loyally attended Miller-Motte for two years.I took off 2 semesters for medical reasons. They are refusing to pay for the danb exam.I had a high risk pregnancy that would have forced me to miss 3 days out of the week of class. To avoid destroying my academic status I decided to finish the semester that I was in and drop the next two. When I tried to return Miller-Motte said that due to the debt to income ratio they could not allow me to return. Destroyed me financially and emotionally. However, I had completed the three courses that were required to take the danb exams.I had completed these courses long before this took place. During the time that I was there I was told to fill out the application for the test and I did it in class and the instructor was suppose to turn it in and he advised the entire class that we would be contacted by the place that was administering the test to set up a time.Needless to say I was never contacted.Could never find anyone who had time or the knowledge to help me find out why I hadn't been contacted. I thought that because Miller-Motte would honor at least that but when I asked would they pay for the exam, I was told that they only payed for active students.I feel that I wasted my time, money (it's not cheap to attend either) and my hard work.I asked could I get some kind of certificate acknowledging the work I had done. The answer was no.I am a mother of six and have been struggling to get back on my feet ever since this happened.Desired SettlementI would like for Miller-Motte to honor their word and at least pay for the exams.I understand that I am less of a priority now that I have no financial gain for them but me getting the certification that I need could help me lower my student loans and provide for my family.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Hi [redacted],I show that your last date of attendance with us was April 4, 2012, and that the only contact you have made with us since leaving was to obtain transcripts and a [redacted] This is the first message we have received about your interest in the DANB exam.
