Sept. 6, 2016 Dear [redacted] ***,My car was never stuck in anything and I had never over revved the engine. had my sister with me when the car lost all power thus Roberto can't tell me what I did to the car. was also told the computer was fried so how can he say I over revved the car. I really like the car and as my first car I intend to make sure it is in top operating condition but only had the car for 2 weeks when the car went. Roberto told me that they replaced the turbo and then the manifold. After that they said they had taken out the engine and rebuilt it. They also had to replace the computer and rewire the car because they shorted out which was supposedly done by Faulkner [redacted] as my dad and were told. If they had done all of that the car should be like new, and after 5 months they shouldn't have the same problem. When went to get the car it was behind another car outside with the battery dead as if it had been sitting there a while. Additionally there looked as if nothing was done to the car, nothing looked new, Periodically and every time called it was always something new was wrong or they said they would call me back because they were out on a test drive, which they never did. Nothing was ever filed under my car with the warranty company.Sincerely, [redacted] **

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, we have made several attempts to contact the customer as the part has been in our possession for months, as well as trying to contact her and her spouse yesterday (after receiving this from the Revdex.com) to no availPlease have her contact us to get
it installed, and we will get her a full tank of fuel for the misunderstandingThank you very much! Adam M***###-###-####

August 31, 2016Dear *** ***,*** *** is correct in the first part of his complaint where he called and said the vehicle needs a turboHe towed the vehicle into us, and we replaced the turbo and pulled codesThe codes indicated that this vehicle was over revvedUpon questioning his son about
the over rev, he admitted to the car revving up really highThis is what destroyed the turbo, and also damaged the bearings in the motorWe could not verify the motor damage until the turbo was replaced because the fins inside the turbo were completely broken, which is a definitive sign of abuse, and we didn't want to risk a piece getting in the motorThe turbo on this vehicle is brand newWe also tried to pull this vehicle out of the shop after replacing the turbo, and it wouldn't go into gear due to mud and water inside the wiring harnessThis vehicle came to us covered in mud as well as the trailer and tow vehicle were covered in mudLike the vehicle had become stuck somewhere and they over revved it to get it outIt is very hard to get water into a wiring harness unless you are spinning water up into the engine compartment. The story with *** ***'s son changed every time we talked to himHis son was also told it needed a motor with *** *** in the background saying that he saw that *** had problems with the block and was replacing them under warrantyThis was one of only times *** *** talked to me on the phone about the vehicle after the appointment was madeI asked them to email this stuff over to me which they never didI have not been able to locate the information they are talking about, but I then took it upon myself to call *** and try to get this thing covered under warranty through *** based off of what I was told by *** ***'s sonThis vehicle is out of the warranty coverage from the manufacturer as well as it would be denied based off the fact the motor is blown due to abuse not failure. The week of July 22nd, *** ***'s son called me again to find out how I made out with *** on the warrantyI told him that at this time they denied any claim for coverage to which he responded then I will just be down to get itHe was told at that time that the vehicle can't be drivenWe still had some plastic shields and other pieces off from the work we had performed, so I told him I would get them all back on the vehicle by Friday. There was never any question here about how the vehicle came to have a blown turbo and a blown motorIt was due to abuse when the vehicle was stuck in the mud*** *** ends with this car was never test driven, but they did test drive it before they bought itI’m also not a detailer so this car was not detailed by me as *** *** states.A lot of this complaint is incorrect, and I do not know if it is that way because *** *** is just trying to push the blame on somebody else or if *** ***'s son did not pass along all the information to his fatherWe were willing to try to help them get his fixed at a discounted rate, but we are not taking responsibility for a customer abusing their car.SincerelyRobert M

Review: Several Concerns but mainly check cashed April 4, 2013 and not refunded for vehicle not in possession and never taken off lot

Other concerns:

- son signed vehicle agreement March 30 and left $200 check - son's check was returned to me when visited April 2 at 7:15pm

-parent visited April 2 and had questions, mainly about odometer reading, car's warranty and that our mechanic would need to look at car. In good faith, left check $2000 to hold and salesman wrote on son's contract recvd check April 2, 2013 at close of business day. Several calls made back and forth.

-visited business April 8 at 9:00am to cancel as too many misleading answers from salesman, mechanic not able to see car till later in month. Also, found out Sunday night that check had been cashed April 4. Saleman said would give information to business office (another misleading answer)

-Have since made many calls and either get answer machine or saleman [redacted] who has told me that owner out of town; in [redacted] working on summer home; will speak with him later that night; car could have sold but he held for us (to date car has actual mileage on inventory and still on inventory list), etc. My last call to business April 16 - and saleman [redacted] told me to do what I have to do as I inquired when I would receive refund of check, bad business practice as no papers signed by me, misleading answers as to when I could expect call from owner.Desired Settlement: I have since learned valuable lesson. Would like my money refunded...

Business

Response:

As per conversation with [redacted], we had to wait for the check to clear our bank. A signed binding contract was signed that spells out clearly that all deposits are non refundable, but in good faith we are returning it. The check will be mailed by the end of April. Thank you.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will reserve comment and await check April 30, 2013.
