To Revdex.comRespond to customer complaint... ID [redacted]I installed a rebuilt a 4.6 engine in [redacted] Ford -150 back in May 2014. In February 2015 the customer had the truck towed in. At this time I was shorted handed due to an employee not working for personal...

injury. I explained this to [redacted] that I was unstaffed and this would take some time. And he was okay with that. When I checked out the truck, I noticed that the plugs where melted. I called [redacted] " How HOT did you drive it", He replied that the tempature gauge was up 3/4 of the way. And that he pulled over to the next exit. (Not his wife driving). So at this point I belived the customer that the truck was not run hot.I called the warranty company in reference to his warranty. They asked if the plugs where melted,to seee how hot the engine got, (Plugs melt when tempature reaches over 250 degrees ). My responce was " I was unsure at this time", I was trying to keep his warranty active. When talking to the warranty company a second time, they needed me to pull the spark plugs and see if they are wet. And #2 and # 3 cyclinders where full of anti-freeze. At this point the company wanted me to remove the heads and see if was just the gaskets. Gaskets where good. So next I had the heads checked out by-[redacted]. The heads where warped one at 20,000 and one at 10,000. At this point the warranty was voided, due to the fact the plugs where melted and now the heads are warped, because engine was ran hot for an unknown amount of time!! I went ahead and had the heads repaired. ( Due to the fact the plugs where melted and now the heads are warped.) I was going to finish the truck at my own expense. I put the heads back on not knowing that there was further damage to the engine. (Truck would not run when first towed in, so I had to believe what the customer told me what happened ).When I started the-engine there was a noise in the lower end of the motor. At this point the engine was not good.I notified [redacted] about his engine making the noise in the lower end of the motor. And that the motor is now no good. He stated to me " I paid 3,600. dollars for this engine". I tried to explain that is does not matter how much it costed. That he ran the engine to HOT and the the warranty was voided. He continued to scream at me so I hung up. This was the last time we spoke. My Cost out of pocket: 1,268.49, repaired heads, head gasket set, head bolts, anti-freeze and oil change plus laborIn response to customer statement in your letter. His wife was driving the truck. Which I was told he was driving when the truck began to sputter. [redacted] also claimed he had to problems with the truck before this.  But I am enclosing pictures of found 4 empty anti- freeze bottles found in his truck. Also in your letter was stated that no copy of warranty was given. The warranty is under Milligans Auto, and the book we handed to her is IN FACT the same company of the warrantyAlso enclosed is a receipt from [redacted] (owner)

Review: I bought a new rebuildt motor and clutch for my 1997 Ford F-150 on May 10,2014 thru the auto repair company. With the new rebuildt engine I received a 36 month unlimited milage warranty. In Feb of 2015, my wife was driving home and the truck began to sputter and she pulled off the road and turned off the truck. I went and pulled it off the side of a busy highway less than a quater mile away and had it towed back to Milligans. The owner had the truck investigated thru the warranty company and it came back that the engine was too over heated and refused to cover the engine. This process took 2 months. I called the owner and the warranty company sent him parts. When I asked if it was covered he said yes to this point. I called a week later to check on the progress and in his own words my motor is "[redacted]". When I asked what the warranty company was doing, he responded that "[redacted]" warranty company won't cover anything I have to buy another new engine. I then said it better I paid $3600.00 for this motor and has the 36 month unlimited milage warranty on it. He said it dosen't matter it dosen't mean you can overheat it like that. I said temp gages weren't up and I didn' overheat it. I just got it off the exit and had it towed to his shop. He said I overheated it. I said it sounds like you sold me a faulty motor and he said he will talk to me later and hung up on me. My wife called and she questioned him and he hung up on her as well. We had someone go pick up the paperwork since we were both atbwork at the time. She was told that the warranty book he handed her was not the same company as we had. (We never received a copy of the warranty.) We had the truck towed again to our home on April 20, 2015. Inside was to be my keys and they gave me the wrong keys and I had to go back today to get them.Desired Settlement: I would like the cost of the engine refunded back to my card, the cost refunded for having it towed twice, and for him to pay for another repair shop to put in another new motor, and an apology to me and my wife for the ridiculous amount of stress and being treated this way after being faithful customers.
