Complaint[redacted] installed a bathtub in my home last May, 2014. I contacted around October, 2014 and informed him that there was a crack in the bottom of my bathtub approx. 3 inches long. However the tub has a crack in the bottom of the tub and the tub is shifting and sinking downward. Also I had a problem with the floor tile not being grouted correctly but he made excuses to the reason why that had occurred. Nevertheless [redacted] contacted me approximately 2 weeks ago. April 8, 2015 and he stated he would fill the crack with an epoxy mix. I told him that I wanted a brand new tub like I had paid for. I think its only fair if you pay for something you should be able to get what you paid for. The company is listing him as a contractor but he is not licensed.Product_Or_Service: bathtub, ceramic tileAccount_Number: I dont knowDesired SettlementI want the bathtub replaced and all applicable repairs made to the tub and the floor underneath the tub since the tub is shifting and sinking downward. due to the fact it was not installed properly and has shifted. he installed the tub but didn't caulk around the tub correctly and black mold started to appear. He installed the tub and ceramic tile around the bathtub. If he didn't know how to do this he should have said let me install an all in one shower enclosure.I want him to replace the tub .Business Response Ms [redacted] has been spoken with numerous times about this matter. We are not responsible for the crack in the tub. That's a manufacturer defect and the manufacturer has been contacted and we're awaiting what they are gonna do about it. The tile got goofed up because she walked on it (asked her not to) while it was drying. She did so anyways. The grout was fine when we were there last and this is the first time we've heard about it. She was difficult during the whole process and we were told she was bipolar by her adult son. She threw a dish at one of my employees [redacted] while we were there so he didn't return to the property. The tub isn't leaking bc we went out and checked on it right after she called with her complaint. So if it isn't leaking then there should be no subfloor damage. If the subfloor is damaged then that would be something that the manufacturer would be responsible for since their tub cracked. The tub company has been notified and when we hear something I told her she would be notified immediately. Thanks. I am neither bipolar or crazy I did not throw any thing at [redacted]. they were unprofessionial abusers of time and slothful.I dis agree in it being a manufacture defect he is lying he installed the bathtib improperly if it was manufacturer defect why has the tub shifted and is leaning forward. it makes no sense to be a manufacturer defect when he didn't take time to install it correctly . if it was installed correctly the tub would have never moved or shifted that what produced the crack. he has been lying for months about the manufacturer. all I know is he installed the tub he has all the receipts of purchase. hwe told me the tib was [redacted] and that could not be verified through [redacted]Final Business Response [redacted] and the tub company have both been notified. They have a copy of the receipt. And she will be notified by the tub company so they can fix it. It was not an installation issue so I'm not at fault here.
