We have spoken with the customer today in an attempt to resolve any issues and have scheduled a face to face meeting with them on Wednesday 3/21/18 to provide an amicable solution

This business response was received by Revdex.com via email and is a copy/paste by [redacted](Please also refer to the attached document received from the business.)Better Business Complaint #[redacted]Ms. [redacted]:We are in receipt of your message dated 1/2/18 regarding complaint made by our client [redacted]...

[redacted]. We are saddened that this complaint was reopened after we just received notification that the complaint was closed to our customer’s satisfaction based on our last response. The scope of work for this project was determined by our interview with the homeowner and priced accordingly. Part of the work included interior renovations of an existing room attached to the home. The room where the floor was raised was carpeted during our estimating walk-through. It was requested that the floor be raised to match the height of the existing kitchen floor. Mr. [redacted] was responsible for the demolition work prior to our arrival. Upon arrival we performed the work per our contractual agreement. Not only was the work completed per the contract but a completion sign-off from Mr. [redacted] was required by the bank before funds would be released. Furthermore the bank itself required that their inspector visit the home to assure that the work was completed per the contractual obligation and to the satisfaction of Mr. [redacted]. Payment was in fact made to us based on the satisfaction of our client and the bank at that time.Occasionally, there are issues that may arise in construction projects after completion, we call those things punch list items. It is not unusual for something like this to occur. We do not and have not ever had an issue with performing legitimate punch list items. Please keep in mind that this project was completed approximately 2 years ago and with the exception of the loose faucet the other items being reported by the homeowner are new to us. Also please keep in mind that our construction work carries a one year warranty from date of completion. The work performed under this contract is now out of warranty. In an attempt to amicably resolve Mr. [redacted] complaint, we will agree, as weather and time allows, to come back out to Mr. [redacted] property to refasten the loose faucet, remove the siding around said faucet and check for gaps and, if gaps are found, seal with a urethane based sealant; and if Mr. [redacted] allows us to, we will open up the junction box in question and install a cover plate.Regarding insulation and a vapor barrier under the floor, installation of those items were never part of the original agreement and were never charged to Mr. [redacted]. We would be happy to install both the insulation and vapor barrier to the floor if Mr. [redacted] will pay for this service. We estimate the cost to install the vapor barrier and insulation to be around $3,200.00 at this time. This would include removal of the trim and floor, removal of the subfloor, installation of insulation between the floor joists along with a vapor barrier, reinstallation of the subfloor and installation of the existing flooring and trim.We feel that our offer is amicable and do hope Mr. [redacted] feels the same. Feel free to contact me at [redacted] with any questions or comments. We remain committed to our philosophy of excellent customer service. Sincerely,Chris K[redacted]PresidentWe are in receipt of your letter/correspondence dated 12/8/17 regarding allegations and a complaint made by our customer, [redacted], on or around 12/7/17 to the Revdex.com.We appreciate the additional time you afforded us to respond to this complaint. We were contacted by the homeowner in the Spring of 2017 to inform us of ivy growing from the floor of the room. Within two weeks of his complaint, our production manager went to his home to review the problem. We constructed a floor over the existing slab which was cracked previous to our arrival. It appeared that the ivy was coming from the existing cracks in the concrete floor. Our work contract did not include any repair or replacement of the cracked concrete as we were constructing over the top of it. At the time of our visit in the spring of 2017, we recommended to Mr. [redacted] to apply some type of week control to the weeds that were growing. Mr. [redacted] reported that we did not apply a vapor barrier or insulation in the flooring, he is correct in that statement because we were never contracted to install a vapor barrier or insulation and he was never invoiced for such.Regarding Mr. [redacted] complaints about the outlets and junction box, all the electrical work was completed per the contract. The electrical junction box was covered with drywall at our customer’s request because he did not want to see a blank plate. We offered to open it up so that it was accessible however the customer declined to have this done.Regarding the counter tops, again all of the counter tops that were contracted for were installed. We attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] several times to re-secure the reported loose faucet. After several attempts, we were able to reach him and were told at that time that his bike was in the way and he would contact us when it was convenient for him to move it so we may access the loose faucet. To-date, we have not received that contact to perform that. In this complaint, Mr. [redacted] has alleged that we used his $700 buffet table as a work storage bench but we can assure you that it was never used as alleged and this issue was never brought to our attention until now, some two years later. The work to Mr. [redacted] home was completed in Sept. 2015 and for the majority of the issues listed in his complaint we are hearing about them now for the first time. Had these issues been a problem as alleged by Mr. [redacted], why were they not brought to our attention during our final walk through or punch list meetings? It must be noted that not only did we perform all work according to his signed approved contract with us but Mr. [redacted] also signed off on the completed project and the bank, which was funding this project, also approved the work as completed and dispersed all funds for the project. We noted in the complaint that Mr. [redacted] listed the purchase price at $17,778.00 and the disputed amount of $144,987.00. We request clarification as to why Mr. [redacted] feels that the disputed amount is that large. We again request a date/time from Mr. [redacted] when we can meet to address the loose faucet issue and discuss any other issues that Mr. [redacted] deems appropriate to discuss. We remain committed to our excellent track record of quality workmanship and customer service. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, comments or other input so we can work towards an amicable solution to this matter.Sincerely,Chris K[redacted]

Shifman Mattress provides a 5 year warranty on this product against manufacturing defects. The test Shifman did on this mattress showed a body impression measuring less than the 1.5 inch that would identify a defect. Our service person Jill had measured improperly according to Shifman leading...

Millspaugh to believe there may have been a defect. If Shifman had identified a defect their warranty states they would replace or repair the mattress at their discretion. Since no defect was identified Millspaugh redelivered the mattress to [redacted] as she asked. It is rare that a manufacturing defect is found in a Shifman mattress. Because of this Millspaugh Furniture offered [redacted] to purchase a replacement mattress at $285 even though the mattress set has performed to factory expectations for the 5 years of use. Millspaugh Furniture believes that the new mattress offered would provide [redacted] with 5 more years of use. Millspaugh Furniture feels this is a very liberal offer knowing [redacted] as benefited from the use of the mattress set for almost 5 years.
