Review: this energy supplier does not stand by what they promise. I am supposed to be on their auto-fill route for propane. I ran out 3 times last winter. I have been out for 4 days already this week. I called their customer representative 2 days ago, (after repeated attempts to reach a real person) and was promised a definite refill post-haste yesterday. liars. snow on the ground, and still no sign of them. i'm taking my business elsewhere. if you live in galax or surrounding areas, I urge you to go with another company. cockerham energy is one disappointment and unfulfilled obligation after another. don't waste your time with them.Desired Settlement: I just want potential customers to know that this company does not care about them or the well being of their families. they will let you down on the coldest days of the year, and not even call to apologize.

Response:
According to our records, Mr. [redacted] owns a small propane tank that he uses as a backup heat source for his gas logs….. with a heat pump as his primary source of heat. Due to the small size of his tank, he sometimes runs out of propane before our company normally delivers in his service area. Due to the small size of this tank, we cannot economically make special deliveries to him. This was all explained to him when he first asked us to supply him and has been explained to him since that time. When a customer is using a source of heat as his/her secondary source, a company such as our have no way of predicting what his/her usage is going to me. Our suggestion would be for Mr. [redacted] to install a larger tank that would give him more storage. Lastly, I might say that we have been in business since 1956 and take a lot of pride in service to our customers! Danny C. Cockerham, President
