Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I did not get the service, I paid for and am asking for a refund.Once again, I am stating that my vehicle was not properly repaired and vandalized under the care of MrTom O'***From per my inspection, MrO'*** did not replace the transfer case as stated on the receipt and verballyThe seal was never replaced, for I replaced itThe tires were in good shape when dropped offMrO'*** stated that he felt a vibration while test driving my vehicleWhen I asked about the center-cap (that was missing from the wheel that fell off) he merely ignored my questionI asked again and he brushed off my concerns with grand attitudePersonal matters were discussed lightly and misinterpretedIf he continues to call my wife abusive, I will pursue legal matters for the harassment and slandering Yet again, I am requesting a refund for the repairs that were very poorly completed, if at all, the wheel repairs, and the severely disgusting customer service I received, not to mention my warranty was refused.
Regards,
*** ***

*** *** called Pocono Transmission Center for the first time on November 6, at 11:amHe said he worked for *** at his tire shop and said he was gong to have his *** towed to Pocono Transmission CenterHe called again at 2:pm that day to say his truck was on the way.I
called Mr*** on November 9, and told him I had to take the transmission apart to see what it needs to be repairedIt would be to hours of labor to take it apart at $per hour if he decides not to fix itHe said okHe also said he was parting out an old *** to get the money to pay for the job.He called November 10, at E2:pm to check if the transmission was apartI told him that the transmission was out of the truck but not disassembledHe called again on November 11, to check on the status and came in the same day at 1:pmHe gave the go ahead for the transmission to be rebuilt for $after I showed him the damageWhen he gave me the go ahead to fix the truck he told me his girl wasn't going to be happy but he had to do itI ordered the parts the same day to get the job started. On November 13, at 9:am a woman named *** called and said she was ***'s wifeShe wanted to know how far along the repairs wereI told her the transmission was about halfway rebuiltAt that point she said Mr*** did not authorize repairsShe was rude and angry on the phone and said she would call me backAt that point I stopped working on the transmissionI did not get a phone call back and did not get a return call for approximately the next two and a half monthsThe space rental fee at Pocono Transmission Center is $per day, clearly posted in many locations in the office and I told Mr*** that. They got in touch with me in February and told me Mr*** had to have back surgery from an old injuryHe also said he was being evicted from his houseHe asked if we could get a (junkyard) used transmission because he couldn't afford to fix it the way we originally agreed on.I normally do not get involved in used transmissions, but just wanted to finish this job and have their vehicle back to themHe wanted to pay me by giving me his old ***I had no need for a truck, just wanted to get the job done and be paid for itHe asked me if I could help him sell that *** and a trailer he hadAgain, not how I want or need to do business.I did find a used transmission for him with a day warranty and installed itThe price for this work was $plus tax for a total of $I did not charge him the space rental fee for any of the time his truck sat idle on my property.Mr*** and his wife were at the shop while I finished up the jobI told him there is a slight vibration in the back of the truckHe said he knew about it and thought it had something to do with the emergency brakeI told him I didn't think so but he should take it to the tire shop and have it looked at since all we do is transmission repairHe called me a half hour after he left to tell me he had a problem with a wheelI went out to help him with a jack and lug nutsWhen I got there I found his wheel to only have lug nuts out of The wheel was badly damaged from being driven that way for an extended period of timeMuch more time than what Mr*** is claimingThe lug nuts are behind a cap on the wheel, not visible to us and we did not touch any of his wheels to do his transmissionlasked *** to see if he can get him a wheel because I felt sorry for him.Mr*** came back for a week check up, as we have all of our customers doThere were no leaks or problemsAbout weeks after that he showed up at Pocono Transmission at 5:45pm, (we close at 5:pm) he said he felt the transmission was shifting too hard.I re-opened the shop and had one of my techs put a computer on it to check itThere were no trouble codesThe transmission is controlled by the trucks computerIf the transmission does anything wrong the computer will set a code, will store it and will then cause the transmission to run at high pressure which causes hard shiftsThis was found not to be the caseThere were no codesI road tested the truck with Mr*** in the passenger seat and he agreed it was working goodIt was 6:pm when we finished up and there was no charge for this service.Mr*** brought the truck in again on Monday May 16, in the afternoon and said it was leakingWe got a lift oper and brought the truck in and up on a liftThere was no transmision leakThe rear seal on the transfer case was the only leak and I also noticed the UJoint on the rear drive shaft was badMr*** said he would do the UJoint himselfI told him I would order the seal that day which I didThe *** dealer said it was too late in the day to get the part to us by Tuesday (next day) but would be to us on WednesdayI told Mr*** it was not part of the transmission repair and there would be a charge to him for this, at my costI told him I would call him when l had the seal.I filled the transfer case back up with *** fluid which is a blueish/green color, not red like transmission fluidI did not charge him to check it or fill itThe fluid I put in is approximately $a pintIt took one pintHe left with his truck to come back in when I had the seal.He called Wednesday morning to see if I had the sealI didn't have it at that time but told him it would be delivered to me sometime that dayFive minutes later *** (his wife) called and once again was very abusive on the phoneShe complained I didn't call themI clearly told him on Monday I would call him when I had the seal in hand. She became irate and said he had to go back to work ThursdayShe verbally attacked me and hung up on meShe had been abusive to me several timesShe told me in my office, "You don't want to have to deal with a pissed off hispanic woman." For this reason I called Mr*** back and told him his wife had crossed the line and I am not going to do any new work for them, that I would only warranty the transmission we installed originally if necessaryAs a business man I don't feel that I or anyone else should be expected to tolorate verbal abuse and threats from customers. We replaced the transmission, when we did this we replaced the front transmission seal, pain gasket and the seal and gasket on the back between the transfer case and transmissionThis is required by the junkyards so there is no transmission fluid leaksThe transfer case input seal keeps the transmission fluid from running back into the transfer caseOn an automatic all wheel drive transfer case, it takes auto trak fluidIf transmission fluid leaks past the transfer case input seal it can damage both the transmission and the transfer caseThe transfer case is not designed to run on transmission fluid, and the transmission would be damaged from running low on fluidThat's why We replaced the transfer case input seal, That is the seal that keeps the transmission fluid from going into the transfer caseThis was done to keep him from having future problems if the original seal failedWe did not replace or do any repairs on the transfer case as they claim we did.We do this because we don't want any unhappy customers.I never told Mr*** that I was in the process of getting an abandoned vehicle title, never charged him for space rental, never charged him for the four hours labor to start the rebuild of his original transmission, for the parts we orderedHis original transmission had to be reassembled to be returned as a core for the replacement unit, also at no chargeI tried to help him every way I could through this month ordealI wasn't aware of the fact that he lied to me about working for the tire shop, I tried my best to help a man who claimed to be in the automotive industry. Thomas O'***To Whom It May Concern:I, *** ***, referred a customer of mine, *** ***, to Pocono Transmission Center for transmission work back in November A few days later, he came into my shop and told me he gave Tom at Pocono Transmission a go ahead to fix his transmission. He also told Tom that he worked for me at *** ***This isn't true; he has never worked for me.I spoke to Tom at Pocono Transmission a few days later and he informed me that ***'s wife *** said that *** never authorized any repairsI knew this wasn’t true because *** told me he had authorized the repairs. In February *** told me that he authorized Tom to put a junkyard transmission in his car because he couldn’t afford to have it rebuilt. In March after the work was completed *** brought the truck to my shop and told me that Tom had come out to put the wheel back on the truck and that Tom told him there was a vibration in the back of the truck that needed to be looked atThe wheel that came off had tremendous damage from being driven on for a lot of miles, either missing lug nuts or lug nuts not tight enoughI told *** at that time that Tom doing the transmission on his truck had nothing to do with the wheel coming offAnd that it wasn't his faultThe wheels wouldn't have been touched when the transmission is being replaced.Tom told me he felt sorry for *** being evicted from his house and his financial struggles and even though it wasn't his fault asked Ine to see if I could get a wheel for his truck. The next complaint that *** had was in May, that his transfer case was leakingI told him once again, that would have nothing to do with the transmission being replaced. His complaints to me were two issues that would not have been the result of having a transmission replaced.Sincerely *** ***

response to [redacted] response to my first letter, I offer the following:The letter I submitted was merely a detailed account of what transpired during the lengthy time his truck was at Pocono Transmission Center.  It was in no way focusing on his personal business than the matter at hand.  We normally would not know this much about a customers personal life except they chose to tell us.  Mr.. William's truck was at Pocono Transmission for five months.  That is a very long time so the account I gave in my letter was a timeline of events.  We document phone calls, face to face conversations and authorization to go ahead with fixing a customers vehicle.  His wife was verbally abusive and that is why I chose to not do any new work for [redacted].  As I stated in my letter, I should not be subjected to being spoken to this way.  We never applied for an abandoned vehicle title and we are not slandering this customer.  Just stating what transpired.  Stating that we tried to apply for and abandoned title without notice never happened.  Please check with the state, it should be documented if we did .   We did not replace the transfer case and never told him we did.  My business is being slandered with false accusations and saying that we didn't do the work that is stated on the invoice. It is clearly stated on the invoice under the description of the work that we removed and replaced a 4L60E Transmission and flushed the cooler for the transmission.  On the left side of the invoice the parts used are listed.  A used 4L60E transmission with Torque converter, a transfer case input seal and gasket. (This is what is used to seal the back of the transmission) and fluid.  A new front seal and pan gasket for the transmission.  No where on this invoice does it say we replaced the transfer case. The claims of tire/wheel suspension and brake damage have nothing to do with a transmission being replaced.  We do not take any of those things apart to replace a transmission. Mr. William's first letter complains of the wheel and a leak coming from the transmission.  I addressed all of this in my response letter. His second letter now complains of tire/wheel suspension and brake damage. We did the work that Mr. [redacted] was charged for, which was transmission replacement.  His other complaints have nothing to do with the work we did and I stand firm that the work we performed was done properly and professionally.  I can not be responsible for these issues Mr. [redacted] has with his truck.Sincerely,Tom O'[redacted]Pocono Transmission Center
