I have been in contact with John C [redacted] from Columbus Acura to resolve this problemThey have offered for me to return the lease and walk away and refund me the amount of signing and payments paid since purchaseI agreed to this resolution, but since my credit has been affected and will not be corrected for up to days I need to keep this compliant openedI do not feel this matter will be resolved until my credit has been corrected and current car paid off which was told could take up to weeks for car and a month for my credit All of these issues may result in me being unable to buy another car or re-finance my home (which we are in the process of doing) due to my credit score dropping points over thisNot to mention to stress of having to go find another carAcura did mention they could get me in a new Acura of my choice, but have lost too much trust, time and money with them at this point Regards, I will be in touch,Tammy D [redacted]

Thank you for filing this complaint.  I am sorry that you are having trouble with your car.The premise of this complaint is that we knew that the 2007 Lexus needed a transmission and purposely did nothing about it.  This is completely untrue and I do not know of any facts that support this...

assertion.  From my understanding, the 2007 Lexus that you purchased has been driven for over 40,000 miles in the past year and yesterday it was diagnosed as needing a transmission.  I am just really struggling with why we are being asked to pay for the transmission repair.  As the complaint states, this car was taken by you on at least two occasions to local repair shops and not diagnosed as needing a transmission.  Now that it does, I do not see how it falls back on us especially after a year and 40,000 miles.I asked Tom C[redacted] to have you take it to a repair shop so we could find out if there was something we could do to assist you in reducing the cost of any repair that was diagnosed and that is exactly what he did yesterday by convincing the repair shop to charge a lower than retail price for the transmission to help you save approximately $400-$500 dollars on the repair.  If you want to tell me the cost of the tow to the repair shop and the cost to tow it out, I will send you a check today to cover that amount.If I am missing something, please let me know.  I make it a habit to go above and beyond to help customers and that is what we have been doing at Acura Columbus for the last 30 years.  However, being accused of willfully and knowingly refusing to repair a vehicle does not sit well with me.  I am very willing to listen to any different perspectives on this matter.  Sincerely,John C[redacted]Owner/Acura Columbus###-###-####[redacted]

I do not feel this matter will be resolved until my credit has been corrected and current car paid off which was told could take up to 2 weeks for car and a month for my credit.  All of these issues may result in me being unable to buy another car or re-finance my home (which we are in the process of doing) due to my credit score dropping 26 points over this. Not to mention to stress of having to go find another car. Acura did mention they could get me in a new Acura of my choice, but have lost too much trust, time and money with them at this point.
