I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
If a company does not provide the proper equipment or service they can't expect a customer to CONTINUE to pay for itI paid $for the equipmentI'm not threatening them with legal action! I'm not even asking for a refundI'm just asking not to pay for service on equipment that the city had me rip out cause it isn't up to codeI don't think that's unreasonable

Review: Milwaukee Alarm had been my security provider for the last 10 years while I was in the 411 E. Wisconsin Building. When my lease was up, I decided to go with a different provider in our new location, not because I wasn't satisfied with the service I had received, but because the new company made a more affordable bid. I arranged for Milwaukee Alarm to remove their equipment from the old space and thought that it was taken care of.

I contacted my former landlord (Thompson National Properties) and asked when I should be expecting my security deposit back. They said the alarm box and other security equipment had yet to be removed. I contacted Milwaukee Alarm in mid-June and asked that they remove the equipment. July 2nd, I was informed that the equipment was still on the premises. I again contacted [redacted] and requested that his company remove the security system. He contacted [redacted] who said, in an email, "We have already picked up any equipment (control, radio, prox sensor) long ago." Mr. [redacted] then sent a follow-up email to me stating, "[redacted], Please note that MAC has removed the control panel, radio, prox sensors. Any equipment still on site you can keep." I vacated the premises on June 1 and now, 1 whole month later they are informing me that equipment, which I leased from them for 10 years, now belongs to me and is my responsibility- a notion that was never discussed verbally or written on paper. I have no means to remove it. The building will charge me $300 to have it removed.

In the meantime, the building is withholding my nearly $8,000 security deposit which is vital to settling moving expenses. Because that equipment has been left behind, I'm not technically "vacated" from the space and will continue to have my security deposit withheld and could incur further charges.Desired Settlement: My last contact to Mr. [redacted] was made on Wednesday, July 3, requesting that he please reimburse me for those charges ($300) or take his equipment out. He has yet to respond.

Review: Initial Sales contact made a lot of misleading promises. After the alarm system was paid for (at great expense) and initially installed, the city inspector came through the building and said that it wasn't up to current code. How do people that run their business in Milwaukee not know what the current code is in Milwaukee?!? They were quick to come back and meet that inspector's needs. THEN I got the first bill... it said that if I didn't pay for the entire year of alarm service up front, I would have to pay a $6/month fee! That was never told to me in the beginning. I paid the full year and kept my mouth shut.

At the beginning of year two, I received a 260 some dollar charge for them doing an annual inspection that I NEVER agreed to, and got my annual charge and threat of fees for not paying a full year.

Shortly thereafter, the city inspector came back through because the landlord had pulled a permit for another part of his building. He said none of the work done by Milwaukee Alarm was up to code. While I was out of town, the landlord had to rip out all of their alarm system and contract another company to come in and redo ALL the work they had done to keep the building from being closed for safety issues.

Since the equipment doesn't work and had to be replaced, I didn't pay the bill. Yesterday I got a threading call from the owner, saying he wanted to sue me. They have been coning me since day one, and I can't believe I have to put up with their harassment.Desired Settlement: I just want to be left alone. I paid them for the initial alarm system, which is now sitting on the floor in our basement, but there is no reason for me to pay them for a service the inspector said wasn't up to code.

I was looking for an alarm company for my business. Milwaukee alarm company salesman came to my business and offered me their services. I explained to them that my auto repair shop was going to be moving and the building was going to be tore down. I wanted to wait till I moved because I didn't wanna pay to move equipment. The salesman assured me that it would be no problem that they would move it free of charge. When the time came 3 months later to move. They wanted all this money to move the equipment. They didn't stand by their word. I refused to pay to have the equipment moved. So they took me to small claims and sued me. That's is no way to keep a customer. If they would of just moved the equipment like they first told me. I would still be a customer today. The small claims judge told me that because my shop Habheggers Auto on Water and Brady hadn't yet been tore down that I was stuck in their contract. I had to pay them for the services and equipment that I didn't have and their lawyers fees. My shop got tore down a couple months after my court date. If they would spend as much time standing by their word as they did scamming people out their money they would have a lot more customers.

Review: We upgraded the alarm system with Milwaukee Alarm Company in January 2013. We paid $10,648 for the upgrade. Ever since then there have been several false alarms from different parts of the house , several times in the middle of the night, also when we have been away from home and also while on vacation. Their technicians have made numerous visits to try to fix the problem but have not been able to find a solution. We had to time away from work to allow the technicians to work on the system. We are busy physicians and this has caused inconvenience to our patients and disrupted our work flow. Three of the false alarms were when we were away from home and Mequon Police had to come and check the premises. They have charged us $75 for the second visit and $100 for the third false alarm. We tried multiple times to get in touch with the owner of the company, Mr [redacted], who initially did not care to respond for 3weeks until we threatened to involve an attorney. He finally responded and stated he will check with his boss and get back to us. That has not happened yet. We have decided to change the alarm company to ADT. We want this company to refund us

1, the remaining balance of this years monthly payment= $ 44.90 X 4 + tax= $189.66 for July - October 2013

2 Reimburse us the charges imposed upon us by Mequon Police for the false alarms on 6/4/13 and 6/21/13= $ 75+$100=$175

3, take back the tuxedo(2) tablets and reimburse their cost. $400X2=$800

Total $ 1164.66

This company is clearly in breach of the contract. We have gone through enough inconvenience and harassment. This malfunctioning alarm system has made us feel insecure in this new home where we have recently moved to. We cannot risk the safety of our family to this faulty system as we do not know when to trust the alarm any more.Desired Settlement: We want this company to refund us
