Milwaukee Appliance Reviews (17)

Review: On June 18, 2013 Milwaukee Appliance came to diagnose a problem with my dryer. Initially, they stated that the cost for travel to the house will be $39.95. When [redacted], their repairman, finished the estimate, he said that I owe him $99.95 with diagnostic fee.

Further, he diagnosed that the problem as a main central board for the dryer. He quoted that the repair coast will be over $400.00. When I ordered and install the board myself, I found out that their diagnostic was completely wrong, the board had nothing to do with the problem. The cost of the board paid and installed by me was over $200.00. I had to call other people who finally discovered that the problem was a termistor that was a total cost of $30.00.

Furthermore, Milwaukee Appliance uses false claim of being accreditated by BBS, which misled me to use their service. Here is the link to prove that: http://www.yellowbook.com/profile/milwaukee-appliance_[redacted].htmlDesired Settlement: I would like Milwaukee Appliance to refund the diagnostic cost, total of $105.55, because the "pleasure" to have them cost me a total of over $400.00 for an actual repair that cost $30.00.

I would also like to see the BBS accredited to be removed from their advertisements.

A refund of $105.55 wil be sent to the address on file by the end of the week.

Thank you!

I had a warranty issue. They were awesome! They didn't give me any grief at all.. never questioned a thing. I told them what to order and they came out 3 days later (with ordering time!) with the part, no charge. Well.. I goofed and they had to order again, because I gave them the wrong part. They came out again, less than a week later, with the right part and boom, it was fixed! Every time they came they came ON TIME... and only gave me a 1 hour window to estimate.. none of this sit and wait all day stuff. And they called the day before to remind me (which is good, because I forgot). Never left a mess, very considerate, and very tolerant of what was going on in the house, including a very nosy dog. I was really happy with what I bought there too in the past both times, the prices were incredible compared to the rest and the product was the same, or better. And no pushy sales people either.

My experience was great. The service technician was friendly, on time, and reasonably priced considering my washer dryer weren't worth fixing. I went into the store where I met the general manager who was nice and willing to help me find what I was looking for while staying within my budget. Great customer service!

Bought a extended service warranty for my Maytag washer. When I called to have some service work done was charged 39.95 for trip charge (no problem). He found the problem part that was covered under the extended warranty (no charge for the part), but then he charged me 169.95 for installing the replacement part, when asked why so high, he said "that's what it says to charge in the repair book for "Book Time". He wasn't even at the house for more than 45 minutes. I think he just wanted to make up his loss for the part, because the warranty was purchased thru him!

Three days before going on a 3 week vacation, our dishwasher rack broke. Normally not a big deal, but we had a free house sitter and wanted them to have the convenience of a dishwasher. I found the parts on the Internet, but it would take 4 days to arrive. I went to Milwaukee Appliance with the rack to see what they could do. They could get the part in one day, were $4 cheaper then the Internet, and offered to install it for free. Awesome. I picked it up the next day and while I was about to pay for it from the parts manager, our salesman stopped in to say hi. He told the parts manager that he would ring me up. He took me to his office, tore up the bill, and said thanks for the past business. We have purchased 3 or 4 appliances from them over the past 10 years, but never would have expected that kind of service.

The TEAM at Milwaukee Appliance is awesome! They are always there to answer questions and are very prompt and courteous with their service. Owner, Greg [redacted], is very caring and really looks out for his customers.
I was in need of a washer, and he recommended one of his favorites to me and it works like a charm!! He also came out to hook up my gas dryer. He was right there to make everything work!
I WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ALL OF YOUR APPLIANCE AND SERVICE NEEDS. THEY STAND OUT FROM ALL THE REST!!

Everyone at Milwaukee Appliance was great to work with. They now have a customer for LIFE

Review: They made the repair. Less than 10 days later, the same symptoms came back. The same repairman came out and charged me an additional $150 to address the same symptoms. I spoke to the manager on 12/6. I explained to him what happened. He said he would refund the last visit in the form of a check he said he would be mailing that same day. It has yet to arrive and I refuse to keep chasing these people down to make good on a promise they made me.

Good Afternoon,

I have checked the status of this refund and it is in process. Our accountant only comes in twice a month and she is to be here on 12/17/2013. Once check is made out, the refund will be sent.

Review: The company came out to repair my refrigerator. I told them the refrigerator had a motor sound that was labored and then when it completely stopped and that now my refrigerator stopped cooling. They sent a repair person out to fix it and he replaced the control board and I paid $369.54. There was nothing wrong with the control board, my refrigerator still wasn't cooling and I called them again. The repair person came out again and replaced the same control board even though I told him that it was some type of motor sound that stopped and not the control board. The new control board didn't fix the problem because there was nothing wrong with it. The motor that controls the opening from the freezer to the refrigerator on a timed basis was not working and still isn't working. I called them and spoke with the Manager, [redacted], I think his name was, and he said he could send someone out, charge me another trip charge of $39.95, plus the over $100 for the correct part to be replaced. I said no, I wasn't going to pay any more because I already paid $369.54 and the refrigerator has the same problem it did before. For the amount of money they were charging me, I could get a whole new refrigerator.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back from this company.

Good Morning, Sorry for the delay in response. I have pulled up the account for this customer. We did previously service this customer on 11/25/2013 for the issue of a no cool refrigerator. Technician did replace the temperature control defrost board, per his diagnosis. We did receive a call back from customer 1/7/2014 for the issue of items freezing in the fresh food area. This was a different issue then 2 months prior. Technician did diagnose unit and ordered a damper assembly and thermistor for a total cost of just parts $129.31-this odes not include labor. Parts did arrive and were scheduled to be installed 1/15/2014, but customer cancelled due to the cost of repair. [redacted] of the company did contact customer about her concerns with the cost of repair and offered to do the repair for just $100 (parts and labor). We have offered this customer a refurbished unit for a discounted price as well, and customer refused that option as well. We have not heard from customer. Like it is stated this was 2 different issues with this unit and both were diagnosed properly and repair properly done for first issue, customer refused second repair.

We are in the process of a whole-house renovation, my wife finally gets the 'kitchen of her dreams' after patiently waiting a very, Very VERY long time...
We have shopped, compared, and read reviews until I really thought this might cause my FOURTH coronary!
We worked with Tommy at Milwaukee Appliance - he was so patient and helpful in working with us to fulfill my wife's dream.
Today we finalized all the details for Kitchenaid double-ovens, 36" cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator, and Whirlpool rangehood, washer and dryer. I'm a sales guy, so I understand negotiating and more importantly customer satisfaction.
Did I get a 'screaming deal'? Well, let me say that I left their location with a HUGE smile on my face as I felt we got much more for our money than we thought possible. More importantly, I left feeling as if I had been treated fairly and with respect.
I will strongly recommend this organization to family / friends / colleagues, heck even strangers on the street!!!
THANKS, TOMMY!!!

I called for service on my new Electrolux washer. Service tech arrived on time, on the date I requested. He was thorough in examing the machine, diagnosed the problem and offered a solution.

I am very pleased with Milwaukee Appliance and will call them again.

On June 16 2015 we purchased and had a washing machine installed. The repair man who installed took our receipt with him . Called 4 times to get a receipt and on July 13th 2015 received a receipt for the machine and labor.

I had positive experiences twice before taking a dryer, and taking a washing machine drive to their Appleton Ave., Milwaukee store for repairs. Both items were simple enough that they repaired while I waited and the cost was very reasonable. This time I called them to come to our home and repair a dryer. The receptionist quoted me $35 for the trip which sounded reasonable. I realized there would be additonal cost in labor and parts for the repair. The guy arrived later than the late end of the couple of hour range they gave me. It took him between 10 and 15 minutes to open up the dryer and diagnose the problem. He initially quoted me around $250. The dryer was over 15 years old so I said no thanks. He said he would have to bill me over $100. I said they quoted me $35 for the visit and I could understand a little for his time but at 10-15 minutes I asked how it could be $100 much less over $100. He said it is $40 for the trip and the rest if for diagnosis. I switched the conversation to can you come down on your price. At first he came down to $200 and when I still said I didn't want to put that into this old of a dryer he came down to $169. I agreed but felt like they had no standard rates and his approach was to get as much as he could out of clients. The new coils and a new belt took him another 10-15 minutes to install. There was no break down on cost of parts but I am skeptical they cost much. I hire electricians and plumbers that bill at fixed rates and provide no cost quotes. The plumber and electrician rates are a fraction of the Milwaukee Appliance's repair rates. I am a duplex owner and have multiple washers and dryers. I have been in need of a repair about every other year. They lost my future business.

I was very pleased with the quick response for my problem today with my washing machine by the service tech Greg [redacted] from the Milwaukee Appliance store. I would recommend him with any appliance repair again down the road.

We're new to the area and bought an existing home which needed a kitchen remodel. We researched our intended appliances, then shopped very hard for both pricing and service, and did all of our shopping 'blind bid'. While we thought we'd made our choice, we shopped Milwaukee Appliance last after a friend's recommendation.. We got our best pricing at Milwaukee Appliance, again - without sharing prior bids and chose to purchase from them. I can't say enough positive about their excellent customer service. They worked to the contractor's schedule by removing the existing appliances, then returning days later to install the new appliances to the contractor's schedule. Their installers were courteous and informative. I will recommend them to others.

Review: Milwaukee Appliance was called to repair a seven year old Whirlpool Dryer. [redacted], came Sept. 17, 2014 for a trip charge of $39.95 which was to include a diagnosis of the dryer's problem(s). We knew, after talking with the store where we bought the dryer, that it needed a new heating coil. [redacted] told us that it also needed a new heat sensor. He said repairing the dryer would cost more than $450.00 and that we would be better off buying a new unit. He suggested, too, that we should buy a new washer because the one we have that matches the dryer will probably need repair soon because of its age.

Well, he said he had a "scratch and dent" pair he could sell us... which we bought for $1699.95 plus a $440.00 5 year warranty for each. After thinking about it, we cancelled the order the same day. We were then charged $39.95 for a trip charge (which is fine) and $100.00 for his work/diagnosis plus tax for a total of $147.80.

I believe we are due a refund of the $100.00 charge. The extent of his work on our dryer was to open the dryer and take out and look at the heating coil. He had the diagnosis wrong ... we already knew we needed a heating coil and it turned out we didn't need a sensor. We certainly didn't need to spend $450.00 to repair the dryer. I was able to buy and replace the heating coil for under $100.00 and the dryer is working just fine!Desired Settlement: We would like the $100.00 charge added to the agreed upon trip charge fee refunded.

Thank you, [redacted]

Response:

Good Morning, Thank you for contacting Milwaukee Appliance. The additional monies that are added to your bill is for the diagnostic of the machine. The trip charge, is just that, the trip for us coming out, nothing else. I have spoken with the Manager , and we will be sending a check for $100 to you this week. We do apologize for any confusion that any of this may have caused. And again, thank you for choose Milwaukee Appliance.

We purchased a Maytag washer and dryer in November. Unfortunately, we had several service calls and the performance of both was sub-par. We brought our concerns to the General Manager in January, and he immediately took action by offering us an upgraded Whirlpool washer and dryer as replacements at no additional cost. He certainly exceeded our expectations and we left very satisfied. Great company to do business with.
