Milwaukee Childrens Choir Reviews (4)

Thank you for the letter informing us of a complaint against Milwaukee Children's Choir and for the chance to clear up the situation We respect all families in our program and make the safety of our choristers a top priority.I would like to start by informing you that the child being pulled from our program is not the same child described in the complaint This customer has two children in our choirs and is only pulling one of them The child being removed is not the daughter who participated in the Nutcracker performance. As far as the incident itself, this was brought to our attention immediately and we immediately apologized for the poor experience and reached out to the chaperones to see where an error may have occurred Children are instructed to exit backstage one way if they are staying to watch the rest of the show with parents and a different way if they are waiting backstage for a parent to pick them up The chaperones are the last ones downstairs backstage to ensure that no student is left underneath the stage Unfortunately, in this situation, the child walked outside without waiting for the chaperones to get upstairs and without waiting for her parents to come to the door. This chorister had also been to a previous Nutcracker performance and both chorister and parent were aware of our policies that every drop-off and pishould be made by the parent rather than the student walking to a car The same procedures were followed each time and the initial Nutcracker performance occurred with no incidences Once again, this daughter is still in our program. The daughter that is being pulled from our program (and the refund that is being requested) had nothing to do with the Nutcracker performances Our contract is quite clear on refund policies and states that even if a child is removed from the program, full tuition is due except for in the case of medical reasons or family relocation

Thank you again for the chance to respond to the complaint filed. As I did when the issue was first brought up in December, I apologize that this negative experience happened at one of our events. I have checked with parent chaperones and reiterated policies and procedures with them to ensure that something like this does not happen again. Unfortunately, our policy is very clear when it comes to refunds and we do not issue refunds for reasons other than medical emergencies or family relocations We will continue to strive to make Milwaukee Children's Choir a positive place for our choristers

from our program is not the same child described in the complaint.  This customer has two children in our choirs and is only pulling one of them.  The child being removed is not the daughter who participated in the Nutcracker performance. As far as the incident itself, this was brought to our attention immediately and we immediately apologized for the poor experience and reached out to the chaperones to see where an error may have occurred.  Children are instructed to exit backstage one way if they are staying to watch the rest of the show with parents and a different way if they are waiting backstage for a parent to pick them up.  The chaperones are the last ones downstairs backstage to ensure that no student is left underneath the stage.  Unfortunately, in this situation, the child walked outside without waiting for the chaperones to get upstairs and without waiting for her parents to come to the door. This chorister had also been to a previous Nutcracker performance and both chorister and parent were aware of our policies that every drop-off and pick-up should be made by the parent rather than the student walking to a car.  The same procedures were followed each time and the initial Nutcracker performance occurred with no incidences.  Once again, this daughter is still in our program. The daughter that is being pulled from our program (and the refund that is being requested) had nothing to do with the Nutcracker performances.  Our contract is quite clear on refund policies and states that even if a child is removed from the program, full tuition is due except for in the case of medical reasons or family relocation.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not believe a contract can be valid when one party breaks it.  Milwaukee Children’s Choir broke our agreement by losing a child for a substantial amount of time!  A 9 year old was wandering lost on Water Street even though Milwaukee. Children’s Choir promised a safe, chaperoned experience for my daughter they didn’t provide such.  In them breaking the contract first!, I believe I have every right to pull my daughter out of choir and be refunded the second term that she will not be participating in because Milwaukee Children’s Choir failed at keeping their end of the agreement.  I would like to be refunded for the second half of the term since Milwaukee Children’s Choir broke the contract!
Regards,
Elizabeth [redacted]
