Review: MILWAUKEE FAMILY VISION FAILED TO ACCOMMODATE MY NEEDS AS A VISION PATIENT. AS A CUSTOMER, I INFORMED THEM THAT THE PRESCRIPTION EYEGLASSES WERE INCORRECT. IT CAUSED MIGRAINS AND FELT AS IF MY EYES WERE PULLING. THE CONTINUALLY INFORMED ME TO WERE THE GLASSESS AND THAT MY EYES WOULD ADJUST TO THE BIFOCALS.

I GOT A SECOND EYE EXAM WHICH I PAID FOR AT VISIONWORKS LOCATED AT 7425 WEST APPLETON AVENUE, MILWAUKEE, WI ###-###-####. I WAS INFORMED THAT I DIDN'T NEED BIFOCALS. SHE CONTACTED MILWAUKEE FAMILY VISION CENTER INFORMED THEM OF HER FINDINGS. SHE NOTED THAT THE STAFF WAS RUDE TO HER. I WAS INFORMED TO RETURN MY GLASSES AND THEY WOULD REMOVE THE BIFOCALS AT MILWAUKEE FAMILY VISION. THE RECEPTIONIST ORDERED THE REMOVAL OF THE BIFOCAL WITH A "DISTANCE ONLY PRESCIPTION." I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS UNTIL I CALLED ON 04/28/14 AND WAS INFORMED OF THAT. I NEVER HAD VISION ONLY GLASSES. SHE TOOK IT UPON HERSELF TO ORDER IT WITHOUT MY INPUT. I SPENT MORE THAN $700.00 WITH THIS COMPANY AND THEY REFUSED TO CORRECT THE ERROR THEIR STAFFPERSON MADE.

ONCE AGAIN, I WILL BE OUT OF POCKET TO GET THE CORRECT EYEGLASS PRESCIPTION LENSES. THE OFFICE MANAGER (DEBBIE) INFORMED ME ON 04/29/14, THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE LENSE ADJUSTMENT. REALLY!!!!!!! I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN UNLESS THE RIGHT THEIR WRONG. ALSO, I WAS INFORMED THAT I COULD NOT BE COMPENSATED FOR THE COST OF THE DIFFERENCE IN THE BIFOCAL AND SINGLE LENSESDesired Settlement: REDO MY LENSES WITH THE CORRECT LENSES FOR READERS NOT DISTANCE.

I received your letter today and appreciate the opportunity to respond to the complaint against

my practice. Clearly~ Ms. [redacted] is unhappy with her eyewear and that makes us unhappy too.

We have been committed to providing her with eyewear she likes, and have remade her glasses

twice at cost to our practice in order to try to satisfy her. Each remake has been at her request

and to her specification - first to thin the lenses. the second to take out the bifocal.

The second remake was done under the direction of the VisioDworks doctor from whom she

sought a second opinion, and with confirmation from Ms. [redacted]. Our instructions were to ~e

the bifocal out". We were concerned that Ms. [redacted] would not like having glasses without reading

vision, so we called her to ask. She stated that she wanted to see for distance; for example, at

the gym to recognize people across the room. I don't know how we misunderstood that instruction,

b~t if we did, we do want to make it right.

We will extend once more and remake this pair to be reading glasses. This is the last remake we

can do for her, so we will be contacting her for written approval before we proceed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I ordered glasses on Wednesday the 18th of November. It is December 10th and I still do not have my glasses. When ordered, I was told two weeks. Two weeks I hadn't heard from them so called and they said they will check the Lab and call me back. No one returned my call so I called again the next day and their answer was "you know they are special order." I did not nor was I told. I called again in a week and they said they are not in yet, we will call the lab and get back to you, again no return call and when I called they promised the following week. It is the following week and my glasses are not in and again I'm supposed to get a call back. I used my vision insurance and paid >$340 cash so I'm furious with them. No one apologizes or offers an honets answer. Everytime I do call, I'm put on hold as if they're trying to figure out what to say. I am wondering if I'll ever see them.Desired Settlement: I want these glasses immediately as I'm now very concerned that they'll be a quality product. If they are not, I want a full refund including my insurance company reimbursed before the end of the year

It appears there were delays in receiving the eyewear, and the length of time that Ms. [redacted] has waited for her order has been unusually long. I have been in contact with her and let her know that we received her order today. She is scheduled for an appointment tomorrow (December 11th) with my staff and with me to try on the glasses and verify that she is happy with the final outcome.
