Milwaukee Maytag Repair Service Could not repair microwave unit, and has not returned money paid for service..it;s been a year..[redacted] will not answer any calls.

In August of 2012 my family purchased a Maytag dishwasher from a local Sears store. This dishwasher came with great reviews and was even on sale for a good price. After purchasing and installing the dishwasher we were pleased. Then in December of 2014 when the dishwasher was just over 2 years old we noticed that the control panel was acting up and that the dishwasher was really having a mind of it's own. We pulled out the manual and troubleshooted all the way down to get it to run again. All the while our dishwasher was running when it felt like it and not when we wanted it to. This was highly frustrating. In January 2015 this problem seemed to have gotten worse and on the 26th decided to quit working completely. Appalled that this wasn't an old product and we hand wash all of our dishes before running them through the dishwasher we decided to call customer service. I was told that we could purchase a repair plan that would fix the issue with the dishwasher and then give us an additional year of coverage since we were passed the 2 year warranty. We proceeded to buy the repair package as set up a repair date and time for the following week. When the time came for repair we were contacted and told that there wouldn't be a service man in the area for another week and the part needed to be ordered so they would be out on 2-10-15 to fix the dishwasher between 11:30-2pm. The morning of the 10th however we were contacted by the service man letting us know that they would need an additional part in order for the repair to work right and that he had ordered it, but it would be another 3-4 days. At this time we said ok not a problem we just want to get it fixed. THat same day however, we were called and informed that our service contract was to much for them to fix and we were being refunded the amount of the service package. After a phone call with the supervisor of the warranty company we were told they have the right to deem it not fixable even if they hand't looked at it. There was nothing they could do we needed to call Maytag and talk to them. We had called Maytag and they sold us the warranty, yet nothing was being done to fix the dishwasher we had purchased. So again I called Maytag as I was not happy with the fact that they spread the word of being able to withstand anything and clearly that isn't the case. After many conversations with different employees we were told that there is nothing they can do and we would need to purchase a whole new dishwasher. Now the commercials and all the talk that Maytag does about being reliable and dependable they are choosing to not stand by that. The dishwasher is barley over 2 years old and has stopped working completely. I am very upset that we chose to buy a quality product and not only is it defective, but Maytag will do nothing to fix the issue. I will never buy another appliance made by Maytag again and will be letting others who I know that this is not a company they want to support. Stands tough is not what this company is about. Very disappointed.
