Review: The company websites does state that no refunds are provided; however, there is no grace period. Therefore, while this policy might work fine for a monthly payment option, for those who sign up for a yearly plan, there is no option for a refund, even if the renewal was missed by a single day. This is a completely unfair way to treat customers. The only way to cancel the service is to call or email; there is no option to sign into one's account online and cancel. Therefore, if you're travelling or otherwise unable to contact the company within the 15 days prior to the end of the service term (or if you simply forget, as only one reminder email is sent from the company), you're out of luck, and as noted, the company will not work with you, even if you contact them within 24 hours of the end of the service term.Desired Settlement: $198.46

Review: A year ago I had asked MiMedia to please refund my money for the purchase of their online service to store my media/files online where it would be safe. They asked me to remain a customer which I did but I was not happy with their service and it always bogged my computer down. In February I had signed into my files and removed my credit card number from their service but in March they withdrew the yearly amount of $98.99 on March [redacted]. I tried calling their phone number which only tells you to go online to their webpage so I did. I clicked on live help which took me to a box to send them an email. All this happening during the times they say their open. So I sent the email as follows:

Dear MiMedia,

I contacted you last year to please quit this service and now I see you have taken money from my account again-STOP THIS SERVICE IMMEDIATLY AND PUT THE MONEY BACK INTO MY CHECKING NOW!!!

I tried calling the support number and there was no one to answer me! This is not right and I will report you to the Revdex.com if this is not taken care of today!

The billing information and confirmation number are...

I included this info in the email to them.

I received an email back from them stating:

Thank you for taking the time to contact MiMedia Customer Support.

My apologies for the inconvenience this has cased. Our records show in case #[redacted] you wished to cancel the account in order to receive a refund for the charge. Unfortunately, the agent on the case did not complete the cancellation process.

As a result, I will make sure your account is canceled then process a refund for the charge of $98.99 on 03.**.14.

Expect a confirmation e-mail once I have closed the plan. Then on Friday we can process the refund request as a result.

Hopefully, this addresses your concerns and again please accept my apologies for the oversight.

I received an email stating that my account had been cancelled on March [redacted], 2014 with a case number. Still no refund has showed up. So I sent another email to them:

I also have not gotten a refund of the money you withdrew from my checking account and it is Friday March **, 2014 when you said you would process the refund.

I will expect the refund to show up on my account on Monday otherwise I will expect to file a complaint with the Revdex.com unless I hear a reasoning for the delay. Since taking MiMedia off my computer, it runs 100% faster and better. I feel there were too many resources going on with saving data through you.

I expect to see my refund soon!

I have heard nothing from them and I have not received a refund credited to my account as of today Thursday March [redacted], 2014.Desired Settlement: I request a full refund back into the account they took it from. I do not expect a refund from last years withdraw from my accout but I do expect one from this year.
