I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I have spoken to my credit card company and provided them with this information so they may update their records. The amount credited to my account via my credit company was $239.40 not $239.48 as stated in the response by the company.

Review: I ordered a balloon arch with my granddaughter's name attached to the arch and a balloon centerpiece for her Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party that was held at the [redacted] located in [redacted], PA on Saturday, October 25, 2014. I contacted Mimi's for the first time via email on October 1, 2014. A woman named Ruth replied on October 2, 2014 stating that they could accommodate me. There were numerous emails back and forth and telephone calls regarding the order for the first ten days. Ruth stated she would call me with the price and she never did. The week of October 20th I emailed her and left her a voice message that I was concerned that I had not heard from her and the party was in a few days. She emailed me on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10:10 PM stating "i am working on your order can you please send me the picture of the arch and is that the only thing you would like me to do for your party please get back to me it is this week end I have to order the letters." I immediately responded and again went through the order with her. I had done this two weeks prior. The day before the party, she emailed me the amount for the balloons, $631.52. I called her and paid her over the telephone for the balloons with my credit card. She informed me she would be setting up the balloons on the day of the party.

My daughter and I went to the [redacted] at 1:20 PM the day of the party to decorate and we noticed immediately that one of the letters in my granddaughter's name was already deflated. I immediately called the company telephone number at 1:28 PM (###-###-####) and left a voice message that someone needed to come to fix the arch. I called again at 1:39 PM (###-###-####) to retrieve the alternate telephone number that is left on their voice mail. I called that number at 1:39 PM (###-###-####) and left the same message that someone needed to come fix the arch prior to the start of the party at 6:00PM. We finished decorating and went home.

My daughter called me at 5:18 PM from the [redacted] very upset that there were two other letters deflating and the arch was falling over. I called the ###-###-#### at 5:25 PM and left a voice message telling Ruth the problems with the arch and that the party was starting in less than a half hour and it was apparent that she was not going to come fix the arch as the party was starting. I informed her that I was not happy with the service and I expected a refund on some of the money I paid for the arch since it was falling over and there were three letters that were deflated. No one from the company has called me or emailed me since that time.

I have an excellent credit rating of 825 and I do not want to stop payment on my credit card and Jeopardize my rating. I am a [redacted] Employee and if I ever delivered the kind of customer service like they did to my clients and our vendors I would not have a job.Desired Settlement: I would like a partial refund of the $631.52. I will pay for the product (balloons) but I do expect a 50% refund because the arch which cost the most fell over and three letters were deflated. The DJ who was at the [redacted] Inn when my daughter and granddaughter arrived knew they were very upset and helped them by giving the tape and assisting with trying to tape the arch to the wall.
