Case #: [redacted]
December 31, 2015
To whom it may concern:
In regards to the case #[redacted]
Early 2013 The complainant ([redacted]) purchase/ order her wedding dress to us amounting
$1303.20. The dress arrived/received at the store early June 2013 so we phone her to submit herself
For alteration/hemming. The complainant in did came in for fitting; we mark the dress for hemming
Which we charge her two hundred and eighty ($280.00) to be paid upon pick up when we phone her back for the final fitting which we promise July 2013.
We phone her somewhere July 2013 (as it is promised on her pickup ticket) to again come in for final fitting as her dress alteration is already done. At first we left a message as we normally do with our customers. We waited for until after a month to do another phone call and it is just the same we left message again as there is no answer. And from then we start following up every now and then hoping we could finally get a hold of her but it is just the same no return call or even answer our phone call given that her phone is still working.
Early 2014 – the store did another attempt on phone calling the complainant with the same phone number and left another message and still no return call. We left numerous messages within this year for our desire of her to finally come and pick up her dress but again no answer.

Mid 2015 – As the store always do; we did an inventory to see what we have in our storage if there are dresses that are need to be put away or merchandize that are needed to be follow up for pick just encase we missed out as the store has to be ready for the new merchandize to come in for the graduation season.
As we always do; we put together all the merchandize that are not redeemed for year/s and get it ready to bring to the drop box for donation. Before proceeding; the store therefore did a final phone call to customers.
We phone the complaint ([redacted]) for the last time before acting on donating her dress and finally at some point her fiancé answer our phone call and advice as that they are no longer together and that there is no wedding happening but with that he provided us this new phone number to call ([redacted]).The phone number of the complainant ([redacted]) so; right away we call her and left message but again she didn’t return our phone call. Not only once or twice but numerous times we phone her. Final phone call we did; was when we advice her that her dress will be sent away to charity.

We never fail on contacting the complainant.
We made a choice on dropping the complainant dress on drop box for donation. So we totally get reed of the dress as our merchandize are nonstop arriving for the graduation season. Having her dress in our storage contains space. Realizing that keeping the complainant dress for another year or so cost too much as it is already is for the pass years we have stored her dress in the store; as we; the store are paying the space per square meter.
November 2015 – The complainant show up at the store to pick up her wedding dress but we don’t have dress to give her as we already had have given away for donations; then she ask us for the full refund which she already knows from our last messages that her dress will be given away.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 8, 2016/01/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Mina's Bridal and PromWest Edmonton MallEdmonton AlbertaMay 15, 2017 To whom it may concern;Dear Sir/Ma'am,This is in respond to the complaint ID#: [redacted] regarding wedding dress purchase by customer Miss[redacted] that was picked up April 20, 2017.To start with, yes; the said...

customer go in the store; at that time the staff was busy with another customer fitting on dresses for graduation; the said staff#1 greeted Miss [redacted] as she was approaching inside noticing her shoes on; so right away the staff reminded the complainant to take off her shoes upon approaching the counter.(COMPLAINANT SHOES WERE REALLY FILTY AS IT WAS RAINING THAT TIME)Conversation begun and the complainant was ask again if she can take off her shoes and bring it by the front door as her shoes left marks on the carpet yet the complainant insist that she won't because she doesn't have socks on.LET ME EXPLAIN: The first time the complainant visit the store; she didn't complaint about store policy; she took off her shoes by the door before entering; the signage were so much obvious on her sight; and now at that time when the complainant's order arrived and ready to picked up; she decided to go against the store policy?Back to staff#2 as what specify by the complainant; according to her she was pleasing even several times for the complainant to remove her shoes; explaining once again the store policy and that we have to comply to it besides; you have to try on your dress to make sure it fit you well but the complainant keeps repeating that she doesn't want to take off shoes because she don't have socks on; then it went on as the staff kept reminding her about the policy. The complainant decided not to try on her dress; she just want to pick up and go do her alteration somewhere as according to the complainant she doesn't want to deal with the store no more; then She (the complainant) grab her dress zoom out not even given the chance for the staff to repacked her dress. (though it was in the original bag from the factory) yes; normally dresses when picked up; it is always transfer into the store garment bag after it's presented or shown to the customer. And to mention; customer has to try on the dress before taking it home to ensure the dress was the right dress and the right size to avoid misunderstanding. At that time though the staff didn't have the chance to do so because the complainant snatch her dress from the staff hand and off she left.About the phone call: according to the staff, the complainant didn't gave her chance to explain as she was screaming and the next thing around was the complainant request to talk to the owner and to the manager and yes she was pass to the assistant manager yet ther is no way you can win with her as all you hear is her screaming. [redacted]About the refund: Store doesn't do refund and the complainant knows that.Dresses are checked, steamed and packed in the original factory bag ready for pick up and as it was mentioned earlier that it is always put in the store garment bag after showing to the customer for final fitting. Store kept their dress nicely and away from harm. Whatever happened to her dress it is not the stores accountability as the complainant didn't give the chance to inspect the dress before leaving the store. As to whatever happened to her dress on her way home; it is out off the store limit.[redacted]Attention: Michael H*
