This was the first time he's been to someone who understood how to medicate the symptoms he was/is havingSomehow, my husband's appointment was cancelled and we were NEVER notifiedMy husband walked across town, woke up early (which is big for him), to this appointment without me for the first timeIt was a big day for us! Well, supposed to beKristen was annoyed with my husband (like always, her attitude is always the same) because no professionals were even there that dayMy husband wanted an answer as to WHY because his TBI won't let him walk away without closureI ended up speaking with the program director and he was extremely understandingReferred me to a Client AdvocateHe said he would let her know that I'm calling and he will make us a priorityStill haven't heard back from the advocateI've heard good and bad things about this placeI like the psychiatrist , Craig is a good Program Director and Dianne too, wonderful people dedicated to what they doThey are in the business of Mental Health and I think they should take that more seriouslyRight now and in the area that we live in, they are our only hope

Mind Springs has a location in Craig, CO. My husband has PTSD from a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and has serious emotional troubles. He's been to SO many different doctors and it seems that TBI's are a scientific mystery. Usually, organizations such as these have you see counselors or therapists to evaluate leading up to a psychiatrist. By the time we got to Dr. P[redacted] we were relieved! This was the first time he's been to someone who understood how to medicate the symptoms he was/is having.
Somehow, my husband's appointment was cancelled and we were NEVER notified. My husband walked across town, woke up early (which is big for him), to this appointment without me for the first time. It was a big day for us! Well, supposed to be. Kristen was annoyed with my husband (like always, her attitude is always the same) because no professionals were even there that day. My husband wanted an answer as to WHY because his TBI won't let him walk away without closure.
I ended up speaking with the program director and he was extremely understanding. Referred me to a Client Advocate. He said he would let her know that I'm calling and he will make us a priority. Still haven't heard back from the advocate.
I've heard good and bad things about this place. I like the psychiatrist , Craig is a good Program Director and Dianne too, wonderful people dedicated to what they do. They are in the business of Mental Health and I think they should take that more seriously. Right now and in the area that we live in, they are our only hope.
