MINI of Universal City Reviews (7)

I was charged unnecessary charges at the end of my car lease, simply because I was not leasing another mini My year car lease ended, and the car was in excellent condition, no service or car damage & total mileage was less than 11,My car had it's annual service last done on 5/15/15, and my lease end date was 5/12/(I had an original date of 4/27, but the contract was amended to 5/because of an edit done by the original agentHe listed my return date as 5/12/ I returned my car on 4/30/16, and once the sales reps discovered I wasn't leasing another mini, they didn't want to assistFinally, when I received assistance, I was charged for the disposition fee (understood), but I was also charged a service fee of $750! My car wasn't due for another yearly service until May 15, and I had no service issues with the car! The service reminder light was on reminding me that I had to perform the annual service, but I was returning the car that week! All service fees are covered

Brought my 'in for a no charge, company issued, recall repair which could not be done at my regular mechanic'sIn addition to that repair, they told me I needed over $worth of "urgent" repairs I opted to get a second opinion and brought my car to my regular mechanic after they finished the recall job Of the multiple things Mini of Universal City told me that my car needed to operate safely, only ONE of them was actually trueThe other "issues" they identified did not exist! The repair job at my mechanic's cost me $500, a whole lot less than what Mini of UC was seeking to gaff me for! To tell a customer that their car needs work (and making it sound like a safety issue) that is not necessary is fraudulent and unethical Prior to writing this review, I contacted Mini of UC's service department and HQ about this matter and received "we will look into it" as the only response If your Mini is no longer covered by warranty, save yourself some money and bring it to a local, reputable mechanic for service

Filthy Odorous Car Sold
I stupidly decided to trade in my Countryman for Countryman S I test drove the car but when I got in all the windows were down I decided I liked the car enough to purchase it During the financing paperwork part of the deal, I was asked if I wanted to get a Contract Cancellation "Insurance" because CA has no cooling off period I declined but only because the true cost of the "insurance" was blatantly exaggerated and I found out after the fact that it was also not explained correctly to me
The following day I opened the door to my newly purchased vehicle and was hit a the fowl odor of cigarette smoke I also noticed the 12v outlets were not working I immediately contacted the dealer with my problems and they asked me to bring in the car I took the car in they fixed the outlets and "cleaned" the car once again The car obviously smelled better but only because of the over powering smell of the chemical cleaner that had been used A couple of day

I returned my car in excellent condition before the end of my lease on April I was charged an additional $for no reason
I originally leased my Mini Cooper from *** Mini April 27, There was a mistake in the original contract, and my original contract was null & void, and another contract was issued May 12, My services were prepaid in my contract, and are contract obligations were met*** Mini granted me permission to return my car at Universal Mini at the end of my leaseI returned my car in excellent condition, with only 11,miles on April My last service was performed May 12, and the next service was due on May 12, 2016, almost weeks before I returned my carIn addition to the $disposition fee, Universal City Mini requested $for service charges, because my service was overdue- which was untrueInfact, after I returned my car, *** Mini called my on May 12, to inform me my Mini service was dueyears ago, I retur

I was sold a feature called click and drive for a $up charge to integrate car w/ my iPhoneIt has never workedCar windows rattle
I leased a Mini Cooper from Mini Universal City in early summer of I was sold a feature called click and drive for an uncharged of $After signing the lease, I was informed the the feature would not work and I had to wait for an adapter to be developed by mini for iPhones model or laterI have waited over year with no response from the dealer, yet I'm still paying the up chargeThis is dishonest and no different than stealing money from a customerThe windows on the car rattle while drivingThey told me to wash the Windows, that doesn't stop them from rattlingI work hours a week and I don't have time to chase the dealer down and it is located over an hour from my homeI am so upset that I was taken advantage of and no one has tried to make it rightI am going to contact corporate persons from here in out, I gave the dealer

Brought my '06 in for a no charge, company issued, recall repair which could not be done at my regular mechanic's. In addition to that repair, they told me I needed over $2100 worth of "urgent" repairs.

I opted to get a second opinion and brought my car to my regular mechanic after they finished the recall job.

Of the multiple things Mini of Universal City told me that my car needed to operate safely, only ONE of them was actually true. The other "issues" they identified did not exist! The repair job at my mechanic's cost me $500, a whole lot less than what Mini of UC was seeking to gaff me for!

To tell a customer that their car needs work (and making it sound like a safety issue) that is not necessary is fraudulent and unethical.

Prior to writing this review, I contacted Mini of UC's service department and HQ about this matter and received "we will look into it" as the only response.

If your Mini is no longer covered by warranty, save yourself some money and bring it to a local, reputable mechanic for service.
