refunded when we are left with a empty unit and the customer has given 15 days notice prior to their anniversary date. This policy allows us to re-rent the space and is explained not only verbally but customers also sign a rules and regulations sheet so that we are sure they understand the policy. In this case, we received a intent to vacate email June [redacted] from [redacted] and we emailed her back the next day informing her that if she did vacate July *, 2016, that would only be 5 days notice and not the 15 required to get her $76 security deposit back. In talking to an upset [redacted], we offered her a discount equivalent to the security deposit she lo st if she ever decided to store with us again. Despite the generous offer, she disputed the last rent charge with the credit card companies and the ruling went in our favor as of September *, 2016. Perhaps this is the $76 that she is showing on her October statement. We are a small family owned self storage company that works hard to treat our customers fairly and have a very respectable track record in the community of doing just that. Many of the claims [redacted] has made are just not accurate and it is quite discouraging someone would fabricate a tale like the one she has when she was treated very fairly.
