Mr. [redacted]'s two foster children were enrolled and started Mini-World,
June 9, 2014. They were approved by Roanoke Clty Foster Care, case
worker [redacted]. Mini-World's published rate for two children of this
age is $256.00 per week. [redacted]...

approved payment of $255.00 per
week, which we accepted. We were willing to dismiss the difference of
$1.00 per week. Mrs. [redacted], Director of our Salem facility, went over all
paper work to include rates at the time of enrollment. Their first day
present, [redacted]'s teacher ask Mr. [redacted] if they were to eat breakfast.
He responded "if they are hungry, let them eat". They were asked if they
wanted breakfast, they said yes, so we fed them.
Two to three weeks after the children started Mini-World, the finance
department at Roanoke City contacted Mrs. [redacted] advising her that they
had decided they could only pay $250.00 per week instead of the
previously stated amount of $255.00. At that time, Mrs. [redacted] informed
[redacted], by phone of the change in payment.  Mrs. [redacted] was told
at this time they would be responsible for the difference between our
published rate and the rate DSS would pay. This amount is $6.00 per
week.
Mr. [redacted] was given a bill in the amount of $90.00, through the period of
August 8, 2014. This amount reflects $54.00 breakfast and $36.00
difference of what DSS pays.  I told Mr. [redacted] that I would be willing to
split the breakfast charges with him, to the amount of $27.00. He would
still be responsible for the $36.00 difference. His response was "I refuse to
pay that!"
At this time, when we receive payment of $36.00 to cover the difference
as outlined above. Mini-World will dismiss the remaining balance for
in the amount of $27.00.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am rejecting there response becuse they are not removing the charges for breakfast. There is a form they're supposed to fill out and have the parent sign if you request breakfast. When my wife signed the up the director asked if we would like breakfast. My wife said no. She never signed any agreement for breakfast. The first day I took the children I asked about breakfast they told me there was a charge for it and I told them that I would feed them at home before we came. After the charges became an issue I confronted the teacher who said that I requested breakfast and she said that there must of been a misunderstanding. I dont know if she had me confused with someone else or if she is lying but I never requested breakfast verbally or written. They have other foster kids that socal services pays for breakfast that go there, I think they thought they could just bill dss. Dss would not pay and thats when they sent me the bill and the story of me saying "if there hungry let them eat" came out( witch I did not say). The bottom line is they do not have our signature on anything authorizing breakfast being given to our children.
Thank you [redacted]

Review: We have two children at mini world day care for thee months. They are foster children and all of the billing is handled by dss. We recently received a bill for breakfast at $1.50 per child per day. When we registered the children we did not sign up for breakfast. There is a form to sign for breakfast that we never signed. The first day I took them I asked about breakfast a they told me its $1.50 per child per day. I told them no thanks I will feed them at home. we have been trying to get this resolved for 2 1/2 weeks and finally talked to [redacted] the owner today. He told me that the best he could do I split the bill. I told him that this is unacceptable becuse I never asked for them to have breakfast there. He Informed me that his teacher [redacted] said that I said "if they are hungry, feed them". This I ridiculous I never said this and I don't talk like this ( sounds like a line out of a movie). After going around in circles for 15 minutes he said that if we dont pay the bill they will have to leave.Desired Settlement: I would like in writing that the charges for breakfast were removed.

Response:

This is in response to a complaint by [redacted].

Mr. [redacted]'s two foster children were enrolled and started Mini-World,

June 9, 2014. They were approved by Roanoke Clty Foster Care, case

worker [redacted]. Mini-World's published rate for two children of this

age is $256.00 per week. [redacted] approved payment of $255.00 per

week, which we accepted.
