Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to come to an understanding on this matterMinit Man changed the oil on the Ford Escape on 2/26/15. The vehicle had 202,miles and the last service we have a record of for this vehicle was on 1/5/12, over
years and 47,miles prior. Minit Man procedure is to show the oil dipstick to the customer after the oil change in order to confirm the presence of the correct amount of oil in the car. Our lube technician has confirmed that this was done. It is our understanding from speaking with the customer, that not only did the vehicle leave our shop with oil in it, but still has oil in it. Obviously, there is some other problem with the car that is out of our control
On February 26, 2015, the Ford Escape was brought into Minit Man. We changed the oil and the car left fine. Whatever the problem is, it was not caused by Minit Man changing the oil. Our inspection at the time of service showed no leaks and the filter was installed properly. Therefore, we are not in a position to be responsible for mechanical repairs to the vehicle. Also, the employees that worked on the car are clearly identified by their employee # on the top right of the ticket. The signature line is for customers that are on a fleet account

I have been taking my vehicle to a locally owned mechanic and due to his busy schedule.I decided to take my vehicle to Minit Man for its routinely oil changeI have noticed on the recipe that there is a space for a signature of the sales person that wasn't signed This shows me that they are not wanting their customers to know who is responsible for their own mistakes As I said before, my vehicle began knocking after leaving Minit Man I have never had a problem like this with my mechanic and feel that I shouldn't be having this problem with Minit ManI just want this problem resolvedThis also shows me that they don't guarantee their work
The customer brought her 2000 Honda Accord with 213,453 miles into our Minit Man 10 Minit Oil Change location on 8/18/15 and requested to have the motor oil checked. We have no service records for this vehicle as this was the first time it had been in to any of our locations, so the store...
manager visually inspected the oil which appeared fine. As part of our normal procedure, the other vehicle fluids were checked and the transmission fluid was dirty. The manager offered to drain and refill with new transmission fluid, customer agreed. Shortly after leaving, the customer returned and stated that her vehicle was not operating properly. Our staff checked the work that we performed on the car. The transmission fluid that we added was still present and no issues with the fluid were apparent. As a courtesy, they also checked the battery. At this point, the customer was advised to take her car to an auto repair shop, which she did. From there, the car was taken to a dealership and then to a transmission shop where some electrical repairs were done.Minit Man drained dirty transmission fluid from the customer's car and replaced with new transmission fluid. This is a very simple process that does not include the possibility of damaging a transmission. It is unfortunate when any of our customers have problems with their car, however, due to our limited involvement in the maintenance of this vehicle, we could not be responsible for the condition of the electrical wiring and fuses in the transmission.
