I am rejecting this response because: In their response, they say they will deal with me directly. They have refused to deal with me, and will only deal through their collection agency. I tried several times to get an estimate from them before the procedure, which was never provided. They seem to think that they are entitled to charge whatever they like without the customers consent. This matter has nothing to do with HIPPA, or patient confidentiality. It is strictly about the billing practices of this business. They were provided the relevant insurance information before the appointment. They are a medical office, and have staff dedicated to billing. If there was some problem, I should have been made aware of it before I was billed personally. This is standard practice in every industry in America. Respectfully,*** ***

with their insurance provider for their specific coverage. We may be able to provide some generalities at the time of service regarding “typical” coverage based on the information provided by the patient, but our outreach providers do not verify insurance coverage or benefits at the time of service. Patients that do not have health insurance are encouraged to make financial arrangements with our Insurance and Billing Customer Service TeamIn addition to customer service, however, Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology adheres strictly to HIPAA regulations.
