all the informationAfter some investigation our night manager does recall Ms*** attempting to check inShe did not; however, have a means to cover her possible incidental chargesCovering incidentals is a standard for this hotel and throughout the industryUsually, this is accomplished when a credit card is presentedIn this case Ms*** did not have a card or the funds to do so, thus she told the night manager she would need to leave in order to acquire the necessary fundsShe did not return to the hotel or call us that nightIn an instance such as this, a reservation booked through a 3rd party; the room is paid for in advance via the 3rd party and is non-refundableThe hotel is charged a fee whether the guests shows up or notUnfortunately no one here recalls having a conversation with Ms*** agreeing to refund her stayAt this point the hotel will be liable for the Priceline fee and so would being paying the fee in addition to sending her a refundThe situation would be more easily resolved if the reservation had been made directly with the hotelThis kind of issue can occur when a 3rd party is involved who accept the funds from the guest and then pays a portion of what they receive to the hotelWe don't control the processWe do wish the circumstances were different as we are unable to grant a refund in this case

I just received this letter today dated Feb 23. To put it in its simplest terms, we closed this issue with Ms. [redacted] back in early January both at the property level and Marriott Corporate. Her claims are unsubstantiated and inaccurate. She is asking for a refund for something that she was in the...

wrong for and then is going back a year for another refund, which has been denied as well.   We consider this claimed closed.   Thank you.
