I would first like to point out that this complaint predates my acquisition of Boss Mudjacking on December 1, Be that as it may, I contacted the customer this afternoonWe will be visiting his home to look at the issue he has citedWe will be reimbursing him for the cost of the storm door at that timeHe was happy with this arrangement

I would first like to point out that this complaint predates my acquisition of Boss Mudjacking on December 1, 2015. Be that as it may, I contacted the customer this afternoon. We will be visiting his home to look at the issue he has cited. We will be reimbursing him for the cost of the storm door at that time. He was happy with this arrangement.

This client has reason to be upset, his home was built on a slab and then added on at a later date. Concern was raised about this when we completed the work. We were reluctant and didn't know that the material would travel to the house or not. We stopped when we realized something was not right,...

however, this UNIQUE situation is one of a kind. We were reluctant and we tried it, and the house itself was built in a way to prevent us doing what we normally do every day. The client contacted me and told me something was wrong, we sent one of our carpenters to fix the issue with the door. The client called back unhappy because he also wanted a storm door. I informed him that if he bought the door I would pay for it and the install. He did not do so and I never heard back. He called again and said he wanted me to look at it. I sent a guy there to look at it and he didn't know what to do. The client asked that I look at it- I decided that on this slab, if 2 of my guys looked at it and we can't figure out a solution- it is the structure of the home and not our craftsmanship and I should buy him a door at a loss and go from there. I again told him to buy the door and I would pay for it. I didn't hear back for 6 months, not even a phone call. I heard back when I saw this complaint. I called the client immediately and told him that I NO LONGER OWN THE COMPANY, and that I would STILL be glad to take care of it. Again, the company changed ownership long ago and it is not my company. I asserted that all he had to do was call me,and that I would help him with his door but he needed to pay for his door he wanted. (I dont want to order and pay for a door not to his liking) and instead I get a complaint. I don't own the business, I sent 2 guys out to look at it, I agreed to pay for the door, and I don't own the company. We have done 1000s of jobs and never had 1 single complaint. Not 1 complaint. Perhaps I am not the best at the remedy, but I offered to pay for the door, I sent guys out to try to fix this, and its a structural one off issue that we can't fix. It simply was how the house was made. I am opting now to let this complaint go unresolved, as we have had 1000s of satisfied customers and at the end of the day I am not going to be held hostage while trying to help and meet the complaints needs. We are checking with our legal team to discuss if this complaint is valid since the business is no longer owned by our family.
