Dear ReaderWhen we take the calls in the office we explain in detail what we do on site and how we price our workWe do not give price estimates over the phone so that there is never any bate and switch tactics involvedwhat we price before approval we stick toWe moved to upfront pricing for
this very reason and complaints have almost disappeared. Al thought we do receive complaints on price rarely they do appearWe do never pressure sell or use scare tacticsThere is always the option for the customer not t use our service and we do not do any work without written and signed consent from the customer to proceed. That being said our office did a thorough examination of the work done, listened to the recorded phone calls and got a explanation from the plumber bellow.Chad the plumber wrote: "I apologize for the delay in responseFirst I gave options and pricing up front and explained them thoroughlyThere were other lower price solutions which the customer did not choose to takeI also tried to walk away from this call because the customers brother is handy and was not going to be happy with paying this but she was sold on getting this done TODAYI told the customer, why don’t we wait until the other family members are around to make a group decisionI told the customer straight forward that the last thing I want is a COMPLAINT ONCE I LEAVE DUE TO PRICEAlso the counter top was so old and awful that her sink would not even fit and I couldn’t get clips in it because is was rotten and no roomI did tell her upfront if I have to cut it the counter top I’m not responsible, again she says let’s get it done todayI told her from the start new counter tops was the way to goI would be upset if we reimbursed the customer due to the fact she knew exactly what she was getting" With all the facts that we could gather and photos of work taken after we completed I will have to back our technician and say that we did everything we explained and priced upfront

Dear Revdex.comWe do advertise clear and upfront pricing and exercise it. We inform every customer that phones in, that we charge a $59.50 call out fee. Thereafter we diagnose the work and give the customer a price before we start the work. We do not do any work without the customers consent. In this...

instance we did the same and although the customer was not happy with the price, they asked us to proceed. It is not a tiered system is more like a restaurant menu. We use national standard repair time for all work we perform and use our overhead to calculate the price plus 15% profit.
