Mint Restaurant & Lounge Reviews (2)

Review: The seating area we agreed upon and put a deposit on was given to another party when we arrived for our engagement party. Management did not notify us that this change took place until we arrived at the venue. We were out put next to a filthy bathroom area. We were also harassed by management and bouncers to leave early, part of agreement was to be able to lounge on the rooftop after having dinner. They then said we had to pay 5000.00 dollars to stay. We also agreed upon a bottle of ciroc to compensate for not dining at our agree upon dining area, that was also not

given to us. When we Refused to leave they brought bouncers and guys to stare us down. Our engagement party was ruined because of Mint. Even though we settled on the poor area they passed off to us, they were very nasty and rude. Don't hold any special occasions here!!!!!Desired Settlement: Partial refund

Review: On July [redacted], 2013, Mint Restaurant & Lounge hosted an event. This event had a posting at this link: [redacted]As you can see on the poster, it was pretty misleading. It gave the impression that [redacted] would entertain, however he was unlicensed to sing at this venue.I bought VVIP tickets for both my boyfriend and I (they cost $100 each, with a $6 service fee), and was told that I would be able to take pictures with [redacted], and be in the front row for when he did come on stage. However, I got trampled on by the General Admission patrons, I was pushed farther back into the crowd, with General Admission patrons in front. When it came time to take pictures, the security did not care if a person was VVIP, VIP, or General Admissions. I never got my picture, even though "[redacted] was there for an hour" (I complained to a manager, and it seems to have been my fault to miss out on the picture). I do not see how I could get a picture with [redacted] when General Admissions were getting pictures, and the Security would just generally push every one back. In fact, one of the workers who handled the tickets tried to help me and my boyfriend to get a picture, and the Security Guard roared, quite rudely, "I do not care if you work here! You're going to have to wait your turn!"--even though General Admission patrons were not meant to get pictures in the first place. And, we never got our turn. The drinks at the bar were also overpriced, I had two glasses of rum and coke, and my boyfriend had two glasses of tequila and orange juice; for these four drinks, we were charged $47.20. If I wanted to sit at the sofas on the rooftop, I had to get bottle service. It seems that I could have simply bought a General Admissions ticket and received the same experience.Desired Settlement: I bought the tickets for my boyfriend and I under the impression that I would receive extra services (pictures with [redacted], being in front to see him on stage, etc). Considering that I didn't receive any extra services, I would prefer a refund. If I can not get a full refund, I will settle for a refund of the difference (VVIP: $100 each, General Admissions: $30 each) for $70 each. Totaling $140 refund, for receiving the same treatment as a General Admissions patron.
