We do understand your frustration and are more than happy to resolve this issue. First we would like to explain our policies...

with our discount ticketing since some where it has gotten lost in translation on our end. With our student pricing an ID is always required, just as with senior ,military , any one old enough for alcohol, and if buying an rated "R" ticket. These policies are put in place to protect our good paying customers from fraudulent use of these discounts and some to abide by Indiana law. Child pricing would also apply for anyone from the ages of 3-11, after that regular adult prices apply unless proper ID has been given. These polices are also a very common practice and are followed by all of our theaters. I can say with good faith that we have never or will never "steal" from a customer and I apologize that you feel that way. Initially the student pricing was strictly for Collage students, we have expanded it for high school and middle school students as a way to give back to the costumer. Customer service is what we pride ourselves in, so it is alarming that this situation has come up and will be investigated fully to why it was not resolved the day of. We will be holding an "all staff "meeting in the upcoming week and will go over this policy again with the entire staff. We are also working on literature to be displayed explaining our policies of our discount ticketing for any and all customers when they walk up anywhere tickets are sold. With both of these actions we hope to be proactive at making it easier for you the customer to understand our pricing and what they need to get discounts. We again are more than happy to resolve this not only will refund your son's ticket for all the inconvenience, we would like your next movie to be on us. If you would like to come in and ask for a manager we will have five of our blue tickets waiting for you. They are good at any Carmike, any movie including new releases. We also will mark them so even 3D surcharges will not apply. We appreciate your continued patronage and hope to see you back soon to enjoy a good movie.
