The Sherwin-Williams Company (the manufacturer of Minwax products) has reviewed Ms***’s complaint that she is experiencing excessive fumes from the Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane applied to the interior of her cedar log cabin This product typically requires hours to cure depending on
the amount applied per coat, the number of coats applied, the substrate, and weather conditions (temperature and humidity) Any fumes should typically dissipate within two weeks or less if the product is applied and adequate ventilation is provided as instructed on the product label Sherwin-Williams has examined our retain samples of the product batch identified by Mrs*** and the batch is within specifications Moreover, Sherwin-Williams has not received any other similar complaints regarding this product Nevertheless, Sherwin-Williams would like to assist Mrs*** in resolving this issue by sending a representative to inspect the cabin to help identify the source of the problem Alternatively, if Mrs*** prefers, Sherwin-Williams offers to refund the approximate purchase price of the product of $in exchange for a release

Review: I purchased min wax blendfiller pens at [redacted] last week to repair minor scratches on my cherry wood dining room table. I watched all the how to videos online and began my "simple" repair. I bought a low grade sander and sanded lightly, as the minwax site advised. I filled in the scratches on the table and wiped off the excess gently. I now have horrific marks on my table surface!!I followed the directions to a tee. Now I have to call in for a professional to fix my work at an exorbitant price. I am disgusted with the company's misleading claim.Desired Settlement: I want this company to reimburse me for the table buffing job I need due to their specific instructional video. I did not in any way stray from those directions.
