RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined... that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We disagree with Ms. [redacted] 's statements. We contend that our disputes regarding our contract would be best resolved in court. However, we are attempting to amicably negotiate a resolution with Miracle Homes. Unfortunately, as with our initial attempts to discuss this subject with them, we struggle to get a prompt response. My wife and I purchased a Miracle Home about 15 months ago and have been very happy with our decision. They we're not only open, honest and helpful during the purchase phase, but have also followed up with the few minor issues we've had in a timely fashion.

We built a home with "Miracle Homes" 7 years ago. We are still so pleased with our experience. They have unique house plans, designing and decorating from ceiling to floor. Every inch of the home was used to make the best usage of the space. The company uses high quality products for a reasonable price. The follow up after we moved in was great too. A year after moving in, they come back to see if touch ups were needed. Now after seven years of enjoying our home,we got struck by lightening. It made a hole in our roof. We needed more of the same shingles after we repair the roof. I was told by an unrelated company that they don't make that color any more and would have to replace the whole roof so it would match. I did not know what to do. I called Miracle Homes and they gave me all of the information I needed to purchase the same shingle and... it is not discontinued. Thank you Miracle Homes for all of your help in making life easy and enjoyable!

We really enjoyed our building experience with Miracle. The personal attention that we received was amazing! They really went the extra mile to make sure that we were comfortable with everything along the way. Everyone that we had contact with that worked for the company was polite and knowledgable. We love our new home!

We purchased our Miracle home in 2015 when it was just framed. Our total experience from beginning to end was a positive one. We were in contact with Tom and Jackie, Tracy and Nick during our building process. Mike was our sales person.
Tom was on site personally overseeing the construction progress many times when we went to discover what had been completed since the last time we checked in. He was always ready to listen to our comments and feed back. He would have the appropriate person follow up with us when needed.
Tracy and Jackie were always accessible and willing to help whenever we had questions.
Mike, our sales person we felt went above and beyond to reach out to us during our building process and even met us to help us pick out our floors and counters. He took us to other Miracle Homes recently completed or under construction that were farther along than ours. We were impressed that he didn't just disappear after "the sale".
Nick met us for our final walk through and made sure we were aware of a couple little things that needed to be completed. Everything was completed in a timely manor.
We are thrilled with our beautiful Miracle home. We would recommend Miracle Homes to anyone thinking of buying or building a new home.

Review: We have had a ton of moisture in our house since it was built in 2009. It is much worse during the winter months with black mold building up around the windows. I have called several times about this, but I keep getting referred to [redacted] - the warranty specialist. I have spoken to [redacted] and he says that it's a common thing given the way that houses are built to keep heat in and be energy efficient. That would have been a good thing to know before or doing the building process. With [redacted]'s advice, I have tried to control the problem with a dehumidifier, but it is still an issue. I have fabric blinds that are molded and ruined because of it. The wood window seals and drywall is damaged too. When speaking with other contractors and builders they tell me that they put air exchangers in the homes as a preventative measure. I'm not sure why this was not installed during our build, but with receiving quotes upwards of $2,500 to correct the problem with an air exchanger. an attorney consultation revealed that the windows are cheap and ineffective. I have contacted Miracle Home every winter since we have lived in the house and even spoke directly to the owner, [redacted] on occasion, but nothing has ever been done. My last written request for Miracle to correct he issue was an e-mail followed by numerous calls to [redacted] January 2014. I have to clean each window every three days to keey the black mold from building and getting my family sick. I am especially worried for my two young sons, one of which has allergies and extreemly sensitive skin.Desired Settlement: I am hoping that Miracle Homes would be willing to incur the expense of have new windows installed throughout the house since moisture and black mold is not something you expect to get when you have a house built.

This complaint issue has just come to my attention earlier tonight. As you can read in theattached letter below, it is our sincere desire to take care of this issue and this client. In speaking with our warranty person [redacted], and [redacted], both have tried in the past to assist[redacted] in the past. On the surface, it appears as though they provided a solution which shouldhave been appropriate to alleviate the issue. Since the client reports that the moisture and moldissues continue, I have requested the following.1. [redacted] and I should talk as soon as possible because I may be able to better understand andoffer. a remedy.2. I and [redacted], potentially with a factory window manufacturer representative (from[redacted]) should meet with [redacted] at her home for an on-site inspection. We stand behind our homes and products as we use good quality construction techniquesand materials. While I cannot say for sure, without first having verification that the windowshave not failed in some way or been mis-manufactured, these faults would be exceptionally rare.If you do a simple research of the [redacted] brand, they are one of the finest qualitywindows ever built. They have many awards to their credit and they are the very windows Ichose to put in my own home.[redacted] company have a good level of expertise in building homes that are highly unlikelyto attract or foster mold growth. The issue of mold in homes has been a hot-button item that Ihave become enough of an expert on, that I have spoken to this subject in conferences byinvitation of the state of Wisconsin. I have strong suspicions that I can shed light on how toremedy the situation, and look forward to meeting with [redacted] and better understanding the factsof this matter. As for this issue being caused by inferior windows, (and I cannot rule this out without a visualinspection of the windows) I highly doubt the condensation and mold issues are being caused byfaulty windows. Until the root cause is remedied, another window brand would be most likelynot to solve the problem. We have used these same windows in thousands of homes with lessthan a handful of similar issues. In every one of those cases, we have resolved the issue. If you would like to discuss this further, I can be reached at the office at [redacted]Sincerely,

Review: Moved in Fall 2013, after that winter the drywall cracked significantly in multiple places within the home. [redacted] (homeowner, and husband to [redacted]) contacted Miracle HomeBuilders, and after several email/phone exchanges they came out and did a repair in fall 2014. The repairs were subpar and cracked again. [redacted] started email conversations with [redacted] from Miracle on June 12, 2015 about having a contractor come back out to repair the cracks. We are still in conversations with [redacted] at Miracle as of 4/26/16 without resolution to the drywall repairs. We continue to get a run around from Miracle on who, how, when the contractors should be in touch on repairs, and so far nothing has been resolved. [redacted] has not made attempts to connect with us on resolution, and as the owner of the company I would have appreciated her cooperation and involvement during this time.Desired Settlement: We would like resolution to the drywall being finished to appropriate and satisfactory standards

Response:

I am sorry for the apparent delay on this response. We have had an elimination of a position here at Miracle and are just finding a few things still left undone. I have recently become fairly familiar with this situation. I cannot say that I disagree with the complaint from this client because I had discovered that one of our personal( coincidently this is the person who is no longer with us) had not communicated that the gravity of the clients frustration and need. As your notice came to me a few weeks ago, I did personally visit the site with my warranty person and agreed to stay with this matter until the client and ourselves find a solution. I intend to meet at the clients house again( hopefully to step closer to resolution) this Monday. One item that has come to bear on this is that this home is considerably past the 1 year warranty period. Even so, we are attempting to be cooperative in coming up with a satisfactory resolution. If you have questions, I can be reached at this email address or at my phone ###-###-####. Best, [redacted]

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] has been out to the house. Last visit was on 5/16 with a contractor (Dakota Drywall) who has agreed to take on the repairs. Repairs are scheduled for June 6th, 2016.I see [redacted]'s comment about being outside the warranty, but the damage to the drywall happened during warranty as well as the initial repairs. Those initial repairs are the ones not competed to satisfactory standards, and this why we are still in discussion because of the outstanding services with the warranty.

Review: We completed our home with Miracle Home Builders, LLC in October 2011. Our contract included a $25,000 fixed lot improvement allowance package, which specifically identified the curb cut as included. Final grading, landscaping, and concrete driveway/sidewakl were specfically excluded from the contract.

Miracle Homes LLC requested a permit from the City of [redacted] for a curb cut on 9/6/11. The permit was approved on 9/7/11 with the following language, "curb cutting allowed for construction purposes only. before the curb and ditch deposit will be returned, the curb will need to be removed and replaced. no exceptions will be made." Additionally, the permit includes the following lanugage, "The undersigned hereby agrees to perform the work according to the specifications and standards on file in the Engineering Services Divison of the Department of Community Development. The applicant also agrees to repair or replace any work that does not conform to said specifications and standards." Again, Miracle Home Builders LLC is listed as the Owner of the property and is listed as the applicant on the permit.

The City of [redacted] sent a letter in May 2014 stating that the curb was not in compliance with the requirements and that replacement was necessary in order to recover our $1,000 deposit. Prior to this notice, we were not aware that a permit had been applied for, that a $1,000 curb and ditch deposit was given to the City of [redacted], or that additonal action was needed.

An additional $500 deposit was given to the City of [redacted] for an erosion deposit. We were also not notified of this deposit or any additional action necessary.

On June 12th, we contacted Miracle Home Builders, LLC via certified letter to request replacement of the curb, a full accounting of all items included in the fixed lot improvement package in order to verify that there are no other outstanding issues, and $150, which is the amount of mortgage interest we have paid on the $1,500 of deposits that were held without our knowledge. Since the receipt of the letter, we have followed up via phone on several occasions. We have received no response from Miracle Home Builders, LLC.Desired Settlement: We are requesting that Miracle Home Builders, LLC replace the curb as required by the permit application. We have been given a deadline of 8/30/14 by the City of [redacted] and therefore time is of the essence. In the event that we are forced to replace the curb at our own cost, we are requesting that any expense incurred by reimbursed in full by Miracle Home Builders, LLC. In either case, we are requesting a full accounting of any amounts included in the fixed lot improvement package, as well as the $150 in interest.

My wife and I could not be happier with our overall experience with Miracle Homes. They were patient, thoughtful, professional, and creative. Everyone involved with the building process made sure that any questions or concerns were fixed right away. We were kept on schedule and I highly recommend Miracle for your new home design and build.
