In regards to the [redacted] complaintIt is first to note that according to Service Bulletin [redacted] , bulletin [redacted] , issued in December (attached): "Some 2008-model year (MY) Buick Enclave, 2009-MY Chevrolet Traverse, 2007-MY GMC Acadia, and 2007-MY Saturn OUTLOOK vehicles may develop a power steering pump wear condition that can cause an intermittent drop of power steering hydraulic pressure that will cause reduced or loss of steering assistThe vehicle may revert to manual steering which requires greater driver effort, particularly at low vehicle speeds." A previous document sourced (ref [redacted] s June 4, 2013), indicates a possible noisy power steering pump condition as a result of temperature "During extremely low temperatures, -30C, (-22F) or lower, the power steering fluid may thicken and the power steering may rise causing noise or damage to various componentsTo resolve this condition replace damaged power steering system components, flush the power steering system components, flush the power steering system and refill..." The original steering rack was noted to be leaking when the vehicle was in for an oil change back on Dec 6th "Rec replacing rack and pinion, leaking out of passenger side." Vehicle had only 35,milesAs such, nothing was replaced at that time since vehicle should still under factory warrantyThe vehicle was seen again 09/07/at 53,miles for oil change, 07/08/for oil change and flat repair, 10/09/at 78,miles for replacement of blend door actuators in the heating/air conditioning system, then on 03/10/at 85,miles, Rack and Pinion was replaced power steering was flushed, and replaced front strutsFollowing month 04/04/at 87,miles the Power Steering Pump was replaced due to lack of steering assistPump was warrantied at 09/30/at 101,miles due to whine while turningPower Steering Pump was again warrantied on 03/16/at miles due to whineRechecked noise at 04/07/at milesRechecked noise again at 08/22/Vehicle had oil change and brake flush, with new front brakes, rear shocks and cooling system service at 07/13/16, 139,milesOn last visit 04/19/at 154,miles replaced pump out of warranty by mileage (discounted labor) and gave free power steering fluid exchange using Kendall VersaTrans LV which specifically states ".....Approved for service fill under license numbers [redacted] (Mercon LV), and [redacted] (Dexron-VI) Meets [redacted] requirementsMeaning this fluid meets specifications for GM service bulletin for pump and loss of steering pressure The Service Bulletin states that these certain vehicles have: "Special coverage covering the loss of steering conditionfor a period of years or 150,miles, whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle originally placed in service, regardless of ownership." "Customer requests for reimbursement of previously paid repairs to correct the condition described above in this bulletin are to be submitted to the dealer by Sept 30, unless otherwise specified by state lawIf this is not convenient for the customer, they may mail the completed Customer Reimbursement Request Form and all required documents to the GM Customer Assistance Center." The vehicle was seen again 09/07/12 at 53,427 miles for oil change, 07/08/13 for oil change and flat repair, 10/09/13 at 78,380 miles for replacement of blend door actuators in the heating/air conditioning system, then on 03/10/14 at 85,607 miles, Rack and Pinion was replaced power steering was flushed, and replaced front struts. Following month 04/04/14 at 87,955 miles the Power Steering Pump was replaced due to lack of steering assist. Pump was warrantied at 09/30/2014 at 101,809 miles due to whine while turning. Power Steering Pump was again warrantied on 03/16/15 at 110042 miles due to whine. Rechecked noise at 04/07/2015 at 111578 miles. Rechecked noise again at 08/22/15. Vehicle had oil change and brake flush, with new front brakes, rear shocks and cooling system service at 07/13/16, 139,499 miles. On last visit 04/19/17 at 154,437 miles replaced pump out of warranty by mileage (discounted labor) and gave free power steering fluid exchange using Kendall VersaTrans LV which specifically states ".....Approved for service fill under license numbers [redacted] (Mercon LV), and [redacted] (Dexron-VI) Meets [redacted] requirements. We sincerely apologize about the unfortunate situation and any inconvenience you went through with the loss of your vehicle...

keys.  We are sure we can fix the problem and hope we have the opportunity to keep you as a valuable customer.
 
The store manager at our Broadway location personally placed the keys underneath the receipt in the seat of your vehicle after repairs were completed. 
 
If you could provide us with copies of receipts you acquired in replacing your keys, we will gladly reimburse you for that expense.
 
We appreciate your business and are confident that we will be able to correct the problem.
