Miramold reported my kitchen floor and crawl space to be contaminated with mold. A second company reported no mold.
On February 18,2011 Miramold,LLC inspected my house for mold. Their water meter indicated that I had a high level of moisture under my kitchen floor so that meant I had mold. They reported the crawl space was 70% contaminated with mold ,it was very moist and had heavy growth under the area of the kitchen. To take care of the problem in the kitchen they would have to remove the flooring and treated it. The kitchen cabinets had to be removed from the premises disinfected, cleaned and returned. The cost for remediation of the kitchen would be $10,000, maybe more. No cost was given for remediation of the crawlspace except to say all the boards would have to be scrubbed by hand with a disinfectant. I consulted a second company for water remediation and they said I had no mold in the crawl space and his water meter indicated a possible small amount of moisture on the kitchen floor. He recommended a reliable third company that did mold inspections. They did an inspection and their moisture meter indicated slight moisture in the kitchen floor. On inspection of the crawl space
they found two floor boards with approximately 2 sq.ft. of possible mold. They reported the crawl space to be dry and consisted of sand.
