Miranda's Smooch A Pooch Salon Reviews (1)
On 10/4/13 at 8 a.m. I brought our dog into the salon to be groomed & that afternoon they called & said he was doing fine but didn't not want to stand in the bath so it would be a while.I picked him up and they brought him out and he just laid down.I asked if he was okay & she said that he would be sore from all the brushing.I brought him to the car & had to lift him in it & had to have my husband lift him out when I came home.He urinated & vomited in the house that night and wouldn't eat and didn't want to go out to go the bathroom. His leg seemed to be bothering him a lot so on Oct 5th I called the salon and the owner stated he didn't eat anything there and it was probably stress related. She called me back about an hr later & informed me that she was unaware but after talking w/the staff she found out he had fallen out of the tub.I brought him in that evening w/my children to the ER Vet because he had gotten worse & they stated his leg was really bothering him & needed to be rechecked in the morning if not better. My husband brought him into the vet the following morning & they said he had a slipped disc from the fall. The groomers stated to me that they would pay all the bills incurred but later told me the insurance wouldn't pay.I contacted the insurance & they did cut us a check for that but the salon refused to refund the money that was paid to have our dog groomed there and my husband was even hung up on twice when he called and asked about it and they said to call their lawyer. We were treated really poorly and not notified of the accident. They changed their story at the end & said our dog jumped not fallen like they first stated. They only had one person bathing a 150lb animal and that is not good practice.I really wish someone would have been honest in the first place so that we could have gotten him help instead they let him be brushed, blow dried and walked after the injury occurred.I think it's terrible and people should know to protect their pets!
