Miriam African Hair Braiding

I received service from this company that I did not ask for. I asked that it be corrected or styled to my satisfactory. I was told that I can do it myI contacted this business because I wanted to get a particular type of style for an event that I was going to be attending. I spoke to a sylist named [redacted]. I told her what I wanted she told me yes she can do crochet braids and for me to bring the hair, what time would be good to come in. Which was the same day that we had a consultation over the phone. When I arrived we went over what I wanted and the concerns that I didnt want with this style. I showed her a picture befor she began. My main concern was no parts I wanted to be able to put my hair in a ponytail. I wanted it to be very versitlle meaning I need to look normal for work and for my event I wanted to dress it up a bit. She assured me that it would look like my picture. $ hours later after she said it would only take 2 hrs. I looked in the mirror I was disgusted. She use way to much hair in certain places and not enough in other places like around the crown of my head so that I could put the hair up. I told her this not what I wanted and how am I going to be able to go to work looking like a lion. She said I can get pins and figure it out. I then said can you put it in a ponytail at least she said no. I figured out later when I got home why she had said no. There was no hair around my edges you could see the braid. So I didnt get any results from her I then called again to speak to the owner and then she fussed and was rude to me saying we give customer two weeks if not satisfied. It was two days. No one tried to fix my hair but they took my 150.00When it comes to this style crochet braids, I usually do it my self in which I opnly buy the hair that cost 5.99 a pack. Costing me under 30.00. She told me to buy 5 packs of hair and then later bragged about only using 2 1/2 packs. and the 140. 00 for the style. I always tip. But if I had know she was going to be rude and not rectify the situation I would not have tipped. Later I find out from friends that this particular shop is known for issues with customers.Desired SettlementAt that time I would've liked to have my hair redone by someone who knows how to style that I wanted or I could've got regular micros or box braids. But at this point I want the money I paid for the hair which was 35.00 and 150.00 for service. I wish I could get something for the owner being rude and not caring of my situation for the reason me choosing her shop. Which was close to my home and that shop has been there for awhile.
